Don't shoot the messenger. Just a question. :?:

Not yet. He's on a boris johnson type "probation" with most tho I feel

Still too early. I thought there was more direction tonight, but being weak at both ends of the pitch will kill us. After the first ten minutes I didn't really think we would lose that, then we did. That's not good, but we don't want to be paying off another manager because, what then? Colin? And even less money left. Nah, let the season play out. If he relegates us from here he will have to walk, but I don't believe that will happen. Luton did defend very well tonight, fair play. They got bodies where they needed them and also got the run of a few bounces in their penalty area. We were shocking down our left defence again. I still think we need a back 4, although lets see what the two new players bring to the party.

These things can turn quickly. Stick with it. Lower your aspirations 🤣🤣

Hey Russ, put as much effort into managing the team as you do to gelling yer hair and grooming that fckn beard and we'll be ok.
Sort this mess out by Saturday night or take that smarmy smirky cheesy fckn grin and piss off back to league 1.
We've all had a titfull.

Will he be here much longer? Perhaps the Yanks don't rate him you couldn't blame them if you look at where we are. They may have not backed him in the window to see what he's made of. Is he all B....sh.t or can he turn it around?

With the underwhelming transfer period now over.
Russ will really have to get the best out of what we've got, if he cant, then maybe a change will be required. It just doesn't seem to be working at the moment. I dont want to say out yet, but time is running out, and our fans are getting restless.

If the Yanks don't rate him that's a positive. They know feck all about soccer.

.

Out. Obvs.

The cleverer posters have been saying it for yonks.

Anyone with any semblance of football knowledge at the sharp end will have seen the same. Yonks ago.

I'm slowly moving from stubbornness to ineptness. Surely he can't be blind to his style not working with the players available.

We could of been 2-0 down after ten minutes brother, all I could see was a 0-0 at best.

This is how you play out of the back -

Rodgers knew the score - you have to be tenacious, you have to move the ball quickly, and you have to drill players on their role. Listen to Jazz Richards' episode of the AiC Podcast, and Ashley Williams' episode of the Longman Football Podcast. They explains Rodgers' philosophy down to a tee.

Now it's unfair of me to compare Martin to Rodgers. But Martin should take a leaf out of Rodgers' book. Both with the way you drill these players, and the style. But also on adapting to be a winner. Rodgers didn't mind changing the style or grinding out ugly results. I remember us sh*t housing so many games that season, albeit we had guys like Dobbie who just didn't stop working. But that's what we need now, a few scrappy wins to build confidence and a more sensible style of play.

If he isn't willing to adapt, and the players don't click, then he's gone - whether I want him to or not.

Not sure if this makes sense, but just my two cents :D
