Do you honestly think he would uproot his family again less than 4 months after he did when he left mk dons to come to us?

He will go only after he has taken us upto the PL and to a far far bigger club than that one from the pub league.

You regularly see Old Firm fans stating that Celtic and Rangers are bigger than almost every club in the rest of Britain and they'd both be fixtures in the top 6 of the PL if they joined.

Just reading the Rangers forum, they’ve got a poll on their next manager, one of the options is “anyone but Russell Martin” what has he done that they don’t like him so much? And talk about an entitled bunch, they really think they’re bigger than Aston Villa

He was part of the team which got hammered 5 nil by celtic, the team got slated and RM criticised the fans, they have never forgotten it.

Don't think their fans are deluded to think they are a big club. In terms of the support they have, they would match most of the top six in the Premier League, and in terms of their tradition along with Celtic they're a huge club. Are they a bigger club than us or the deluded lot down the road? Of course they are! They went down the leagues and kept their support. Where did all our supporters go when we were with the down and outs? I recall gates of 3,000 being common place down the Vetch at one stage.

The fact that they're not doing so well in Europe and the standard of the league has taken a tumble doesn't make them a small club. If they and Celtic were in the Premier League, their sheer support base would take them up the table eventually.

Are they bigger than Villa? No I wouldn't say they are. And the wages they can pay their manager are clearly inferior. However, in terms of support, history and stature I'd put them roughly on par.

I say all this as someone who can't stand Rangers.
