• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Probably an element of that to it.

A couple of trophy laden seasons in Scotland and then come back to a mid-table ish Prem side with reputation repaired/enhanced.
The flaw in his reasoning is that it requires a basic ability to manage

His man management is schoolboy level inept (see Whitts, Oba, Pato, Jay et al)

His strategic and in-game management is worse than inept and focused purely on PR spin:

:- how can I set-up a team to look as close to Pepball, and build upon my polished PR presence to elevate my CV as far as possible - at the massive expense of the performance and results of whichever team I'm lucky enough to be managing.

Proper horrible fella, which most sane fans spotted at the very outset when he dropped and stripped Piroe of his #9 jersey, the stupid twat

Just had a look at his stats on wikipedia, out of curiosity.

He's managed 260 games so far in his career and in those 260 games his teams, despite often averaging 60-70% possession, have somehow conceded a total of 371 goals (an average of 1.4 goals per game), with an overall goal difference of just +9.

So "Martinball" and his way of "dominating the ball", results in his teams scoring just 1 more goal than the opposition every 29 games on average

Wonder where he could even go after Rangers? Seems an incredible risk for any club in British football to take on.

Our Eastern cousins.
They just may believe he could do the doube against us
Maybe even the doube double...

If they ever get back to the Championship and stay 2 seasons that is

He’ll get another championship club. Owners will see he got Southampton promoted on paper and take a shot of him being able to do it again.

West Ham have looked awful, wonder where Potter will head next, back to Sweden.
