• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

In his post match press conference he said Bruges had some dangerous attacks… they played Genk.
That's why doesn't see how bad his team were. He's busy watching other teams on his laptop. Just checked and Bruges scored 5 goals Wednesday in the Belgian league. So yes he is correct.

"Terry Vegetables" was a name a Rangers supporter I worked with called him 😂😂😂

The bloke’s a fraud. (This thread’s been going on for a while, so I may have said that before. Apologies if it’s a ferdie.)

Martin will be packing up his bags as we speak. Livingston on their plastic pitch is his worst nightmare; it's as bad as the old AstroTurf down the Morfa Stadium. Fail to win on Sunday and he's gone, unfortunately.

Why the hatred? Is he a despicable person in his personal life? Is he the worst manager that we've had in the last 20 years? (Answer is No. Not even close.) Why the daily comments from people who are hoping that he'll lose his job?

Hate is probably a bit strong, Glyn. I don’t have links to his personal life, only to elements of social life, through football. And when it comes to football, he’s one of the worst we’ve had, all things considered. Hence he gets some negative press. I’m sure that he couldn’t give a toss as he takes giant strides forward towards a bumper redundancy cheque.

I think most people are hoping he hangs on to his job a little bit longer, it’s far more entertaining than the football.

A lot of it is probably a reaction to the kind of hagiographic adulation that he was held in by his supporters during his time here and how they would brook no dissent on the topic.

What a "top bloke" and "nice guy" he was, when it seemed pretty obvious from early on that he was an arrogant, thin skinned pillock who only had his own best interests to serve and had no loyalty to us as a club and certainly not to his players. That part of his character is coming through louder than a Concorde takeoff at the moment.

It's only natural for people to enjoy the utter shattering of his reputation and the discomfort of others who have gone very, very quiet on the subject over the last twelve months or so.

Can't think of any other manager that would have survived here with his appalling record of something like 3 wins in 20 odd games, and I'm sure 1 of those was against 10 men.
