Nice fella yeah right. I think you mean total narcissist. His mask slipped during his post match interview when questioned about his methods, nothing to dislike he's only taking us to league 1

His interviews have changed from a chat over a cup of tea, to defensive from start to end.

The last few shows he is feeling the strain even though he says it doesn't affect him.

He doesn't like anyone going away from his naretive.

I posted about a week ago that surely he can’t believe all he says, and was he trying to convince himself.
Well I’ve just listened to his post match press conference.

Where do you start?

He was brought in to.
Return to the Swansea way of possession football
Develop and find younger players
Get close to the play offs.
He says 2 out of 3 have been achieved.
How?

Possession football.
Stat say maybe, but all in the wrong area of the pitch with no purpose. So my answer is no.
Develop young players.

Who? Cooper has broken into the team but came back off loan. Money wise Downes? But he already had what it took. Obafemi, one club has taken a chance, but again he didn’t improve while here, still a raw player. Whittaker could have made a profit if he had been sold, but that was on the back of his time at Plymouth.

So no I disagree with his points.

He then says fans want results and can’t see the bigger picture and he gets it.
Well my open reply to him is please don’t insult the intelligence of the majority of the fan base. Many have seen the club nearly fold either once or twice in their time.

There is so much wrong in other things that he said, but I’ll give a brief comment.
We are playing chess based robotic football with very little flare and individualism.
It isn’t a given that players will learn from all the mistakes, as players aren’t playing to their natural strengths.
It’s a team game so do players understand team mates strengths and weaknesses, or blindly play to the detail.

If he can't see it then concerning is a major understatement.

Spot on.

He just talks absolute nonsense and has from day 1. No wonder the players have no clue what they're doing.

He's certainly up there with the worst managers we've ever had imo. He'll probably PR his way into another job after us but give it 3 years and he'll be full time in his restaurant.

It shocking that someone can be a professional footballer for all those years and still be utterly clueless about the basics.

I honestly think he's accepted his fate and given up now. He knows he's lost the fans and probably a lot of the playing squad and he's kicking and screaming in the press conferences telling us 'well, that's what you wanted'.

There's nothing to dislike about the bloke, he's a nice fella, in his mid 30s trying to run a clustef*ck of a football club.

That game was probably it for him yesterday, the defending is getting worse and I can't see him being able to turn it around, but this club is heading one way regardless.

I find him very easy to dislike to be honest. I don’t think he’s remotely nice.

He is constantly talking himself up to sell himself to a future employer (and the media) and doesn’t care who he tramples on to get on. He focuses on different things as it suits (at the moment it’s how young the team is), throws his colleagues under the bus whenever he feels threatened and is now trying to pretend the fans don’t know what they’re watching.

He is a rather charmless combination of self absorbed, massively over confident, deluded and useless.

The club is undoubtedly a shambles from top down, but the way we play is down to him. If he genuinely believes this is the ‘Swansea Way’ he shouldn’t have anything to do with football.

Well he came across as being very condescending in last nights post match interview that’s for sure.

From the start he’s come across as a bloke that’s swallowed a bunch of the sort of books for sale in the non fiction section of WH Smith’s at the airport. Management speak at nauseum, coupled with unbelievable sense of self importance and no self doubt. The number of people you meet over the years with that combination in London consultancy firms makes it very easy to spot. They’re always young and often crap.

I concur.

We should be asking ourselves why a “ nice”manager so clearly ostracises players especially young ones.Bennett wasn’t exactly wonderful but he was no worse than what we currently have and he literally wrote him off . His treatment of loanees ,and those some pace, sitting on the bench whilst Grimes strokes the ball backwards when we are chasing the game . No tactics,no adroitness, just spite. It is disgusting and every day he is in situ ,further damage is being done ,daily .

That some spring to his defence staggers many ,it is beyond comprehension.
