• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

BBC: Now, the Kremlin has suggested comments from Foreign Secretary Liz Truss were the reason that Russia put its nuclear forces on heightened alert, according to the Russian news agency Interfax.
"There had been statements by various representatives at various levels about possible conflict situations and even collisions and clashes between Nato and the Russian Federation," said Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for Vladimir Putin.
"We consider such statements absolutely unacceptable. I will not name the authors of these statements, although it was the British foreign secretary."

And let's remember that she could potentially be our next Prime Minister.

She’s also taking the opportunity to let us know this will harm our economy too. She and the rest of Boris’s cabinet are absolute scum. I doubt we’ve ever had a low calibre, vile set of scum in charge.

Certainly not in my lifetime (born late 50s) and I thought I'd seen some crap. UK is basically a rogue state being run by criminals and fuckwits. Totally irrelevant to anything that matters, but still useful idiots to people like Putin and his money men that also fund the imbeciles.

Putin now using cluster bombs directly against civilians

War crimes if proven. He’s f*cked one way or an other, it’s just a worry how many he takes with him along the way.

Can't help but try to look at the end game for him here. He's felt untouchable for 20 years, the more resistance he's gonna get ( and he will), honestly think he will lash out with a nuke.
The oligarchs who work 'with ' him surely the key here. Their lifestyles are fcked the longer this goes on.

Channelling my inner Bony, but it seems to me that we are absolutely in the middle of a third world war now, we just haven't realised it yet. I do believe Putin is going for broke now and would use nukes, chemicals, biologicals, Chernobyl etc against all western countries outside his borders without compunction. Salisbury on a massive scale if you like. I hope the lazy complacent leaders in the west are awake to the reality of this. It won't stop at Ukraine now whatever happens. He knows he's finished if he allows this to catch up with him, so he will keep escalating. Backing down would mean the end for him, or a chance to regroup before the next criminal act.

If Putin's mental state has descended to a level where he is really contemplating using nuclear weapons , even tactical ones , you would hope his own generals would step in at that point , they are the only people who can remove him

Do you think Hitler's generals could or would have stopped him if he'd had the weapons? Soviet power structure, Putin's words ('Ukraine Solution'), his expansionist dreams, and his general demeanor are all Hitleresque. This is a genuine existential threat if it can't be de-escalated somehow, and how the hell do you de-escalate a frothing rabid dog if you can't shoot it.

Some of Hitler's generals did try and if it was not for a table leg they would have succeeded
Putin will have a structure in place to prevent it but that can be breached , an existential threat to the whole world , I would expect some kind of attempt to remove him from within the Russian military , if as is being suggested Putin has lost touch with reality for whatever reason , could be illness

I suggested this the other day on Reddit and got downvoted. Just call me Kofi Annan

That convoy heading to Kyiv, this is starting to look ominous.

This escalates big time from here I think.

I get the same feeling. What started out as a bit of a damp squib is now on an exponential curve towards doom. This mornings footage of Kharkiv is shocking to say the least, innocent civilians going about their necessary movements and getting obliterated.

With the world and more the point Brussels saying we will stand up for and by Ukraine, this is hurtling head long very quickly as the Ruskies 40 mile long trail of tanks move in to Kiev. Time gonna come they gonna have use force against Putin....and there endeth everything.
