Stamenic needs to be more positive. I saw some stats that said he was one of the worst midfielders in the league so far for passing forward. Not sure if he plays this role for his country or if it is not his strength.
Depends what his coach has instructed him to do.
From the start we seemed happy to stroke the ball sideways and backwards rather than look at forward options....
Second half we started to drive forwards as if the shackles had been taken off.
Much was made of our comeback to beat Forest when like tonight we were chasing the game at home.
Its down to game plan for me ....look to ...in Sheehans words dominate control the game by keeping the ball away from the opposition..then hope for an opening
It seems when we are behind we look to go for it.....as someone else has said why not look to be more offensive from the off.
People blame O Dea but Sheehan is the head charang.....
Its damaging changing managers so often and the question needs to be asked why we keep getting it wrong.
I like Sheehan as a person he has a humility unlike some of his predecessors but felt he was the wrong choice....I was totally perplexed by his use of the preseason and aome of his decisions since the seasons start made me question his appointment more.
Why is it Middlesborough who have brought in 11 new players and a new manager have mangaged to hit the ground running...
Whilst we are struggling to break into a trot with a head coach who is in his 3rd seasion at the club with 2 spells as caretaker has worked with the majority of our current squad and had a full preaseason with the majority of the newbies.
We are now slipping down the table...Saturday is a big game now but I feel the time is rapidly becoming up for Sheehan.
Sacking him isnt great for the club and I cant think of a suitable replacement....but from what looked like a promising season (not neccesarily..playoffs or automatic promotion) but some attacking attractive competive football but what have we seen...we are almost a quarter of the way into the season.
I hope our owners and senior management have a cunning plan
