Good to see Sam Parker finally having game time .
Starting 3 games will give him confidence ,
A stop start career so far after making his debut at 17 .
Had a good first half on Saturday against a tricky winger who was a threat all game .
Having Eom in front of him helped him .
He kept the width not playing too narrow .
He looks comfortable on the ball is quick able to deliver good crosses .
The more he plays i can see him improving .
We may have our future right back in the building .
Turns 20 this summer .

Its been quite some time since we had a player step up from the youth as a genuine week in week out starter.
Besides Cabango the only other notables have been Cullen and Cooper and they both haven't really kicked on

There are high hopes for Lissah and Congreve next year, as well as Bates who is currently tearing it up with the under 21s. Well into his mid 20s for goals for the season at present and Wales who is seen as one for the future when we signed him.

Best part about this run of games for Parker is the quality of opposition. Been thrown in against very good players and bar first half against Boro (which was nowhere near his fault) he has taken attacking and defending in his stride. Also gives us some real pace and directness which we’ve missed. I hope he continues on this trajectory!

I have 0 complaints. He has improved in his small time and is learning quick. Adds pace too. For me we got to keep him in first team now. Question is do we need a RB now?

Same and Eom were great on the right hand side on Saturday.
Matos influence on Eom's defensive game has been very noticeable recently.
The lesson of giving Sam no proper cover in the first half of the Boro game has been learned.

Interesting 3 options
Key - experienced in house but flakey
Parker - young and athletic/quick whyo has patiently been pushing the broom around the academy
Lissah - a very talented young player who lacks physicality for a championship CB but might add class to the first team. Took the bold decision to go ou and prove himself in the man's game.
With these 3 we should NOT be looking to buy a RB and can let Ward go with our thanks.
Instant win is Galbraith into our midfield - which will greatly help us create more opportunities.

I prefer to see Lissah and parker with Key as a sub for the RW. I really hope that VM will let Parker be in the first eleven till the end of the season even when Key is back because if he does, it would be a good sign for next season.
