I just saw Ayew on the pitch. Just thought I’d let you know in case you thought he’d decided not to play tonight!

Also, you acknowledge he's good at set pieces and long shots, both of those skills are providing us with goals currently. You realise that scoring goals is how you win football matches right?
as above, has to play at 10

Let's not be misleading here in that he has his weaknesses but let's also not be completely blind to what he has added to the team. And that is before you remember that Grimes has scored a few since his arrival because he is off set pieces and around to sit on the edge of the area.
This isn't difficult to see
if he plays he has to play at 10, he leaves us too open otherwise - surely we can agree on that. Midfield 3 has to me grimes smith and CH

That's a better argument to me. He could be like Gylfi in that you can never quite pin down where he should be playing, but you can't drop him because he brings goals and assists that are so vital.

its good that we have moved on from saying he is s**t
I don't disagree as a 10 he would be better suited - he has weaknesses and hasn't been playing well but the criticism he has received is way OTT

Horses for courses. We’re a more solid unit and control the midfield better without him (we’re bossing it now, for example). But we then lose his odd moment of magic. It’s a difficult balancing act for Cooper.

spot on, which is why MG and CS with him at 10 works
