Hope we can beat Sky Sports FC .. a likeable club a few years back but now very tedious on and off the pitch

At least we won't have to put up with Mick McCarthy talking about the game

He's moved from Sky to the Comedy channel

*Disclaimer: I know this game isn't on Sky but I've been working on the joke all day

As Mick would say ‘We’re all in the queue’

It's a big un, hopefully we will go out and prove a point to all the experts who think Brentford are a big deal

They are still a very likeable club, as are their fans (myself I live about 5 miles away, shop at their nearby Morrisons, and [used to] regularly drink at the Bee Hive pub on Brentford High Street).

As we haven't scored more than 2 goals in any Championship match this season, I'd bite your arm off for a 0-0 or a 1-1 draw, but they score for fun so it's going to be a tough evening.

Reluctantly, I think it will be 2 - 1 to the Bees, but that's not the end of the world. We'll move on.

In the 5 games we've played against the other teams currently in the top 6, we've conceded 3 goals so nobody scores for fun against our defence. Admittedly we've only scored 3 too but if we're on our game, I can't see us losing tbh. I think we're a tougher proposition at the moment than at any other time this season.

Meet The Ref

Wednesday's Referee Is John Brooks

John Brooks will take charge of the Swans for the second time this season when he picks up the whistle for the big game against Brentford on Wednesday night. Brooks was also in charge of the game against Cardiff earlier this season, a game that of course saw the Swans run out easy winners (see Jonathan Yeomans' Ref's Watch for the game here)

Brookes Cardiff.jpg

30 year old Brooks was appointed to the EFL list in 2016 and has been on the FIFA Assistant Referees list since 2015. It will only be his 6th game in charge of the Swans and he did clash with Steve Cooper in a 2-1 win over Hull at the Liberty on the opening day of last season. In that game he showed two yellow cards - one to Nathan Dyer for failing to leave the pitch at the nearest point when substituted - a new rule that had been introduced at the start of that season.

This will be Brooks 15th Championship appearance of the season with previous games resulting in 47 yellow cards but just the one red which of course was for Joe Ralls in that South Wales derby.

He will be assisted by Nick Greenhalgh and Akil Howson whilst the Fourth Official is James Linington

Mouth watering this one, a six pointer almost. It's not must win, but feels like it. Must not lose probably more accurate. An optimistic 2-1 to the swans.

LIAM CULLEN AND WAYNE ROUTLEDGE DOUBTFUL FOR BRENTFORD CLASH

Source: Swansea Official Site

Wayne Routledge and Liam Cullen are doubtful for Swansea City’s Championship clash with Brentford as they recover from the knocks picked up in the FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest.

Routledge suffered a calf injury early on against the Reds, while Cullen was forced off later in the game – having netted a brace – with an ankle problem.

New signing Jordan Morris is in contention for selection following his arrival from Seattle on Friday.

Steven Benda, Brandon Cooper and Tivonge Rushesha are all long-term absentees, but Ryan Bennett came through his return from a hamstring injury with no problems at the weekend.

Yan Dhanda was also passed fit to play after breaking his nose in training.

“Wayne and Liam came off the other day so they are touch and go as to whether they will be available,” said head coach Steve Cooper.

“They have not trained today, but hopefully we can get them out there, we have another training day tomorrow.

“Apart from that we are fine.”

Who starts in midfield with Hourihane and Grimes? Both Fulton and Smith have good lately. Think he'll plump for Fulton.

Whichever one misses out it will be a tough call but a great choice to have

Cooper mentions the word pivotal which is the same word I used on here a few days ago.

Yes, you did indeed but weren't you referring to your penis?
