"We are growing game by game, day by day - its a work in progress and we are nowhere near the end.

"I would have liked more of the ball in the second half but it was a really good win and we always looked like we would get into positions to create and score.

"We defended brilliantly and we got our just rewards.

"Every team wants to keep clean sheets and we respect that side of the game. But we are scoring goals as well, we work on both sides of the game equally and we are clear about how we want to play and we are getting good returns.

"We have a good balance between youth and experience, we talked before the game about needing a squad with constant changes this month in particular and with our balance it will serve us well.

"He (Hourihane) has hit the ground running with goals but he has really bought into what we do and how we work, he is a really good professional and his overall performances are excellent.

"You can't put too much expectation on these lads with 19 games to go, we are going well, enjoying the journey and will take it game by game. That is how we work."

STEVE COOPER POST MATCH INTERVIEW

Oh and we beat these buggers and we go up. We just do. Bodde , Borini, Gower. Priskin 🤣. PROMOTION.

I'm still peed off about the penalty. The ref bottled it. VAR would have given it. How can you take the back of a player's legs as he's about to shoot in the penalty area and it not be a penalty?

Fck my eyes!!... On the C*diff board Pembroke Allan said "but fair play they deserved the win" Is this a portent to the end of days?

No mention of a stonewall penalty. Unlike Steve.😉

They never asked him about that - Sky only like talking about things like that if its in the Premier League...

VAR Next season for us the way we are going ;)

Magnificent, putting it simply, did a job on em. We are showing solid qualities and something has got to go seriously wrong now for us not to end up top 2.
With goals coming from all over the pitch, and the defence looking unbreakable, can't see us failing after that tonight.
Well done Coops...onwards and upwards fella.

Oh how bittersweet.
We'd still be on the concourse clapping them off after that with this blaring on the tannoy. Cooper punching the air to the East stand.
I miss football.
Absolutely spot on.
It is almost a faded memory.
Still todays performance in a match that will be talked about for years is very, very heartening.
It is ours to throw away now.
Well done and keep going lads!!

Make no mistake, its fckn killing em.

Swansea City goal scorer Conor Hourihane told Sky Sports: "It's a massive win.

"We came into this game full of confidence and will keep going full of confidence.

"We aren't defensive but pride ourselves on our defence, it's top, top class and clean sheets win you games.

"I am loving it here. I am delighted to have the opportunity to play.

"I have high standards and still want more, I am still hungry for more.

"We have a good mix of players here, a good energy, a nice balance and we keep moving on."

I just looked in the rear view mirror and they’re nowhere to be seen.

Looking out of the windscreen I think we’re about to lap them.

They are as many wins behind us now as they have had all season, and there are still 20 games to go and double to come.
