Proper papering over the cracks that.

But is it?
We bummed a win against the Championship whipping boys, the cracks are widening by the match for me at the moment.

That's right yeah. Really weird one! We've beaten Bristol City (Friday), Coventry (Tuesday), Barnsley (Wednesday), West Brom (Monday) & now Peterborough (Wednesday). We've drawn with Luton, Derby and Huddersfield on Saturdays but lost every other Saturday game.

And next away game on a Saturday...

We're due one then...

You can say that again. It's like our players put on a Swans shirt and forget everything they learned in junior football. What was Kyle doing for their second goal, hitting a fairly weak clearance from the byline along the floor across the face of our six yard box? Anywhere except there, FFS! Kick it out for a corner, anything!

And this is where sometimes players need to take responsibility. Naughts has been great this season and unfortunate for him but I think sometimes like you said if in doubt kick it out.

I think for once, he as trying to hoof it up field but slipped

Positives 3 points and hmmmm that's it.
We just played a poor demoralised team and we couldn't muster any tempo in the first half that should have seen us 3 or 4 up by HT.
Play that slow and you can't take advantage when opportunities show.
How on earth can RM say we are learning etc etc etc. He calls it playing risky at the back, I call it lazy football, just pass a few yards to someone else and let them worry about it. I've never shouted so much at a TV to move the ball quicker and with purpose.
I hope I feel better tomorrow but it's beyond a joke

The stats look amazing. Martin will be fist pumping to Spaff City Arizona.

Talk about papering over cracks, but we’re above Football Fair Play Stoke ffs. I’m glad they lost; I’ll let the Crud’s have that one.

I’m afraid to say though, this ‘process’ is going nowhere fast.

we killed them for most of it in fairness. Anyone watching that game woukd agree three points to us was fair

Oh I agree we deserved the win against a very poor team, but they didn’t compete in the first half. When we are pressed we turn to water. I’m happy with the result but to let it come down to an injury time lottery was another indictment of the inability to coach attacking patterns when in total possession of the football. I accept it’s hard to break down 11 behind the ball, but still. Anyway, he, and his process have earned a reprieve. Got to give it another season now anyway. Even without points deductions we are clear of any relegation tussle and heading for mid table. 13 more points gives us 60 and that’s pretty much par.

Positive (2), no scummers all over us on here because they are above us. That would be tiresome.

To be fair, your TV could probably move the ball quicker and with more purpose.

I wish I could be slightly as positive. I could if we were showing improvement.

I'd love to see a compilation of the goals we've conceded this season. I guess a high proportion will be self inflicted.

it must be over 70% which may suggest the system isnt in fact the problem..

More pragmatic than positive. I really don’t like it. Watching it seriously gives me a thumping headache. I just don’t see much option than to let it play out to its conclusion and hope something changes, despite expecting it not to.

But the process puts players under pressure. It is the style of play that is provoking the errors. Painfully slow and telegraphed passes putting players under pressure that, because they have been drilled to think they can play like Barca, means they inevitably horse it up.

I actually felt physically sick in the second half. I'm was close to switching off as I want to watch a team that plays to win a game than keep slow ball. We don't play crisp passes and very few are weighted correctly. The players are like mannequins, there's very little give and go, not wanting the ball. It's all reactive not proactive.

yep, this is it for me. Perhaps if we had movement it would imrpove.

the amount of times grimes has the ball with a row of 5 of our players in front of him not moving drives me fucking insane

I know I'm being boring but I'll say it again.

Robotic, not reading situations.
