Season 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City vs Ipswich Town | The EFL Championship

Joe doesn't affect the game much at all is my point. He's done, shot, over, retire already FFS. The fact that people think he's the answer says it all really.

A couple of pre-match quotes from Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna.

"It'll take a lot of work off the ball to stop Swansea "

"This game is going to demand great energy"

He obviously hasn't seen the "new Swansea way" of playing nowadays... 😀

A lot of fans with us are getting fed up with mcKenna now and that's the truth of it. Can appear, or is, tactically naive and doesn't seem to know what his best squad resembles. Saying that we've had a whole lot of managers before him just the same, McCarthy was one of the worst but somehow managed to remain in position for some eight or nine years. Marcus Evans was owner throughout so guess it's not really saying much, together they nearly sunk the club name without trace.

McKenna never really exhibits emotion or appears taciturn with the media but suppose some names in the game are just that way. Goes about his business quietly but while you can criticize certain elements, he HAS done wonders for us in a short space of time. He'll maybe gets lured away either at end of season or within 2 years at the most such is his work here and the name he's made for himself but we always expected such a thing. Big question hangs over (his future) whether we get promoted this season.

After all that, you shouldn't be too worried about getting a result today pal.

Slightly weird team selection, but 3 games in a week probably dictated that. All for Allen starting instead of Fulton, even if he’s done by half time.

Good to see the midfield changes... struggling to see where the goals are coming from though

Greetings from the Costa Blanca North.

Here we go again.

I would have stuck with Scrabble, that combination tore Hull a new one, but what do I know?

😆🙄 the two wide men idea aged well then. It seems that every manager has no real idea what’s the best thing to do. Lets hope this tombola result works out and we can find a settled side that actually works,

Disappointed to see Yates starting, I saw the interview where the question was put to LW about Kukharevych and he said he is training well and his chance will come. I wonder what kind of chance he needs to wait for when the strikers ahead of him have a combined total of 1 goal in the last 6.

Hoping we can give them a game as we did in the reverse fixture

OS has Pato down as playing wide on the left and seeing the line up for kick off it looks like that way
