Season 24/25 | The Official Match Night Thread | Swansea City 3 Plymouth Argyle 0 | Att: 14,978 | The EFL Championship

Still sat in the stadium, Plymouth team gone into the changing room and I'm still watching us miss chances to make it 4-0 🤣

Jokes aside, good result but that 2nd half was so frustrating!
Defence done it's job, Midfield was fantastic but creativity and finishing was disappointing 2nd half and highlighted the creativity and composure that has been an issue all season.

The team knew we had the game in the bag, so players was taking more shots without composure. Can't blame them. But would of liked to see us to get those goals in.

Creativity was not an issue this evening. We carved them open at every given opportunity. The composure in front of goal was.

As for the ref, not half as good as he thinks he is. Why on earth did he give a free kick against O'Brien when he was standing still and the Plymouth player ran into him without the ball, and dropped like a stone? That was a free kick for us, not them! Great save by Vig from the kick.
And the ref missed a stonewall penalty when Franco was pulled by the arm off his feet to stop him having a tap in.

And if he was made of chocolate, he'd eat himself.

We created chances but we should have created more clear cut chances if there was composure and a bit more creativity in the final 3rd.

We seemed to create clear chances when we played with little time to think, when we had time with time to think.....was like the ball was a hot potato.

We were wasteful 2nd half.

Linesman on our attacking side 2nd half was garbage.....Ronald was offside 2 or 3 times with no flag, one time he was practically in the Mumbles 🤣

Doing ok.

I think the audition really starts now for him.

That was a refreshing experience, I haven't come away feeling like that too often in recent times. It's not very often you come up against a team that are complete and utter garbage, and that's not being overly harsh on Plymouth.

Vipotnik though, that wasn't good. He's going to need someone to put their arm around him as games like that can shatter confidence. I really hope it's down to match sharpness; he has to start every game between now and end of season.

I'm still not jumping on any Sheehan bandwagon. A three nil win against the worst of the worst doesn't change anything and when he had a chance to do something different with second half subs, he went for the vanilla option.

So creativity wasn't the problem in a three nil win with eighteen shots at goal and eight of them on target.

We had plenty of clear cut chances this evening.

Where the feck has this come from? It’s been a long time since we were entertained like that.

He can’t do much more to convince the owners he’s worth a shot.

Cracking first half that and we should have got a few more second half. Hard to pick out a MOTM but Key was on fire. That’s his best game for us.

We did create chances but lacked composure but there was other times when we could have created further clear cut chances but lacked creativity.
