Season 24/25 | The Official Match Night Thread | Swansea City 3 Plymouth Argyle 0 | Att: 14,978 | The EFL Championship

Where the feck has this come from?

He can’t do much more to convince the owners he’s worth a shot.

Cracking first half that and we should have got a few more second half. Hard to pick out a MOTM but Key was on fire. That’s his best game for us.
Key played well, he showed his pace a few times.

Ronald and Eom showed glimpses but a few times their final ball let them down.

Vipotnik played well but failed to get that goal that he deserved.

O'Brien didn't stop and got his goal.

Franco was fantastic and MOM for me.

We did create chances but lacked composure but there was other times when we could have created further clear cut chances but lacked creativity.
I'm sorry, you can't create much more than we did tonight. To say otherwise is little bemusing.

Really impressed with the potential partnership forming with Tymon and Eom. We completely owned the left.
The midfield 3 were outstanding.

Pato and Piroe would have scored 3/4 each tonight.
Not a killer amongst us.

There was a few times in that 2nd half when we got a shot off when a bit of creativity could have opened up a clearer chance for me.

I think we could have had more than 8 shots on target if we had a bit more creativity. There was a few aimless crosses and passes 2nd half when there was players in open space if the player had got their head up.

Pato and Piroe would have had field day tonight.

Piroe would have seen the score line hit about 5 or 6 and Pato would have had a hat trick of assists.

It would take something catastrophic for us to get dragged into the relegation places now

Not saying we should throw caution to the wind and play whoever, but after the Sunderland game we still have a couple of relatively forgiving home games left, with nothing to play for if we don't use this time to blood our youngsters when will we?

Absolutely no chance Luton getting 4 wins or 3 wins and 2 draws from their last 5 games
Or
Cardiff getting 3 wins and 1 draw from their last 5 games.

And that's without us picking up another point in our last 5 games.

We are 2500/1 to get relegated....any doubt then now is the time to put a couple of quid on it. I would advise it spent on a pint rather than the bookies 😁

Very refreshing seeing Allen, Franco and LOB dominating midfield allowing Ronald and Eom freedom to go for it.

Although the game was won with the subs on you would think we would have carried on the intensity a bit. Our shape suffered a bit with Fulton playing everything backwards again, Cooper losing the ball at will and Naughton cutting in passing back at every opportunity.

Important week for us, lots of positives and 6 welcome points. Wonder if Darling could be talked into staying.

Good game good game well done Sheehan and the players.

Harry is possibly at the peak of his earning power and will be a sad loss. A few games to go I imagine he has his move on tap just waiting to see who gets promoted. Eg Coventry would be a good move.

Darling is now our 3rd top scorer after Cullen and VP if I've got my numbers right. He's also pretty high on the assists chart as well.

A lot of people like to knock him, but he's a big athletic ball-carrying centre-half who contributes at both ends of the pitch and is coming into his prime years. He's going to get a good contract somewhere this summer.
