• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Back on topic.....

By all accounts Joey has stepped up. He needs to make his mark and fill Grimes' massive boots - we need to see a marked improvement in our midfield cohesion and control. He now is the very last remaining shred of our unique, much heralded identity.

In Joey we must trust.....
Kyle Naughton must be chopped liver then

In all seriousness though clinging desperately to our "unique much heralded identity" is the same as some other clubs who cling to being cup winners a hundred years ago. Its worth precisely jack shit and in some ways the cause of our decline over the past decade has come from desperately trying to cling to that identity rather than evolve with the changing of the game.

Pep has refused to do it and is paying the price for that this season and if a manager like Guardiola is not exempt from that particular law of the jungle why in the world would the not so mighty Swansea City be?

So much for PNE fatigue, Burnley have rolled over and showed their belly big time on this one

Burnley made 9 changes to their last league game. They have other priorities now.

I'm glad they got through. The Cup distraction continues. Hopefully they'll get drawn at home to one of the big clubs on Monday and have that on their mind Tuesday instead of coming down to earth to focus on us - as well as being a little fatigued.

Not fussed with Preston thrashing Burnley 2nd X1... we need to be on though Tuesday, if we turn up we can get something

No clingons here baka.
Our edge, our identity was on glorious display vs QPR when the likes of Joey were making the calls.
It’s still there in our locker. It’s a winning brand, an asset to be leveraged.
We’d be daft to listen to a few uninformed shouty online fans and not exploit our pedigree.

Pretty sure Monty gets it, and it will happen

Joe has little playing career left through injury and his move to coaching if successful will benefit everyone in the long run.

Should we start with the same line up as v Blackburn

For all the criticism of Williams playing players out of position Sheehan continues with Peart Harris out wide when he is more of a central player and when Bianchini came on he went central.

Does anyone think Sheehan might tweak or change the starting line up from the last game?

I'm no tactician, but I think he has to play the same team and formation? Just to show or reward the last performance. But again, I have 0 clue with these things. I would like to get players in their natural position such as Eom, Harris etc, but if we get same performance as last week with similar style, no complaints from me.

Stick with the same team especially given the break they have had. I think he will stick with the same aswell.

Given the size of the squad then it's no suprise players will play out of position.

Size of the squad had very little to do with playing a winger up front with a striker sat on the bench.

Delcroix must come into the equation as well as Cooper, but no changes after a season's best under a new management team and a home debut from our star performer.
