Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Queens Park Rangers 1 Swansea City 2 | Att: 16,351 (1,733 Away) | 21.04.25 | The EFL Championship

Wales play Cullen as 1 of 2 AMs, and Cooper has played as a box to box running machine . Bellamy seeing things differently. I would keep both options open as their best may well be to come,
At twenty five years of age we should start seeing their best as they reach the most pivotal stages in their careers.

Until now they've both been extremely inconsistent and I can't see that changing at this point.

We also shortly brought Cullen on to lead the line and lacked any kind of out ball for nearly half an hour, but of course it's all Fulton's fault.

This is exactly the kind of thinking that I'm on about.
You could argue Cullen shows up now and again when Fulton hasn't showed up for years.

Right then

Cullen is our top goal scorer this season. What part of that is nonsense?

It's more the "Fulton hasn't showed up for years" part.

We've been here before with other players. I can remember when Kyle Naughton was Public Enemy #1. I can remember Stuart James strongly opining that he was one of the main reasons that we got relegated from the Prem.

I guess every squad needs someone to take the flak.

He hasn't turned up for years.

The lad should have been released at the end of his last contract not having it extended.

Wether it's the Modric thing, winning 4 on spin, more dynamic performances, getting rid of flaky cretin managers. Who knows, maybe all the above.
But the club have hit on something that mustn't be wasted.
To the owners etc al, do not fck this up.
Don’t underestimate the Grimes leaving factor. We are at our most positive since Laudrup and him not being in the middle slowing everything down must be a factor

Agree 1000% Not sure how anyone can say he has been performing well over last few season. Fulton has not turned up. Like Grimes, he is part of what we were and we need to move on. I mean, Fulton will start today and proberly score and will stir up this debate 😂😂😂😂

Exsactly, Grimes had a massive effect on the team, good and mostly bad. The team relied on him to be the main source of output. When he didn't perform the team didn't. I won't go on but Grimes out has benefited the team as a whole.

I think the best piece of business for a few seasons was selling Grimes to Coventry; the transformation in our fortunes since has been quite staggering. 1-2 today.
Honest. I have been most vocal on this one. Go watch any match with him in. Everything went through him. The issue was, when he played bad the team player bad and vis versa. Alot of fans blinded by what managers say and how Grimes was lorded because he was good at helping new players. I'll leave you all with this, when he left, only a few players said goodbye and he was shocked to see this. He wasn't regarded in such high regard as many think he was.

Fulton's one of those middle of the road players, who can look good in a team surrounded by good players playing well and also look poor in a team playing badly with inferior players.

He was almost ever-present under Cooper, then again in Martin's second season and last year's Duff/Williams combo. So he's played lots when we've done well and played lots when we've done badly. He's not someone who really moves the needle on his own, which is possibly why he is singled out so often.

It's also only fair to cite the Leeds games as evidence he has the ability to play well if you're going to cite the Hull game as evidence he can't.
