• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

If Coleman fails to dismiss Williams after this, then I suggest Coleman is our biggest concern.
There was nothing to warrant the apparent relief when Coleman gobbled up the shit sandwich served up by Levien and Kaplan. They are no mugs and knew what was coming. This is not a temporary loss of form, we’ve had it at this level and I’ve been saying we’re in trouble since day one this season. Overreaction apparently.

When we needed continuity to help breed some confidence into the players Williams instead pulls off this 5-3-2 shit

We have never had the players for it before and we definitely don't have it now. Playing out of position:

A full back in centre half
Fulton as a footballer
A right winger as a striker / left winger
A number 10 as a false 9

Fulton has proven definitely that he CANNOT operate as a CDM. He never shows for the ball, has no assurance on his touch and no eye for a pass let alone the ability to execute it.

As a result we end up shaping something like this:

--------------------------- Vigouroux --------------------------
----- Christie ------------- Cabango --------- Delcroix --------
Key ----------------------------------------------------- Tymon
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------- Fulton ----------- Franco ------------------
Ronald -------------------- Cullen ------------------- Bianchini
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------

No out ball for the full backs into the middle and no target man up front with three players who are all not what you would call dominant in the air. Yes the goals conceded were again down to individual errors (Christie for the first and Franco for the second) but the lack of a platform to build from is entirely down to Williams.

To add to that Franco is right footed so putting him on the left is always putting him on his wrong foot if you are looking at him to create anything or provide distribution.

I know that sometimes when what you have done before isn't working you feel obligated to do ANYTHING instead of nothing, but to go with this shape when knives are already out for you and the players have no experience playing this formation was always asking for trouble and he has gotten exactly what he has deserved.
Absolutely binkers to do this with a winnable game on paper

Something really seismic has happened in this club hasn’t it? Williams has to go, as the players clearly have no confidence, faith or belief in what they are trying to do - if they really know what they are trying to do. That’s him. He’s a bloody van driver that got lucky, and the players know it.

Fulton as a footballer 🤣🤣🤣

Lets me no bones about it.

This squad is poor and we have a manager who is struggling.
They need to deliver 3/4 good players by Monday.
A 19yr old from Man City isn't going to be the answer.

Absolutely rotten first half and every one of them looks like they’ve given up.
Not so much sleepwalking towards League 1 but marching there.

I think I’ll watch the scum second half if I can’t get our stream. I bet they win 3-2.

He hasn't changed anything? Is this a big fucking joke or something?

People defending the manager

We have no hope of staying up with him. Absolutely zilch. And every week we keep him the odds will go down and down

For those who want Williams out, we instead get Williams in stereo
