Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 1 Middlesbrough FC 0 | Att: 13,986 | The EFL Championship

Right then boss, what's the score for next game and who is putting them in. Asking for a friend.
It's a 2 nil win, Franco and Cullen, not sure in what order, though. 😂

**This prediction takes no accountability for getting it completely wrong**

The press was fantastic for 55-60 minutes, very impressive and had Boro scuttling backwards to their keeper much of the time.
Talking of keepers, glad to see Vig hardly ever tries to play out short at the back when our boys are under pressure now, he lamps it up the pitch. No more Martinwang bollucks.
Meanwhile, I've just eaten my own bodyweight in duck pancakes, washed down with the very nice house white at 6.55€ a bottle.

That’s 2 top half sides pushing for the play offs, where we’ve come out on the front foot, not passed backwards unless absolutely necessary and guess what… they’ve both looked clueless against us.

Thoroughly enjoyed today's game, for the first time in months my health allowed me to make it to the game in person. The first half was very impressive and Eom's goal will hopefully do him a world of good confidence wise. There was a notable difference in his decision making from before he scored compared to after, there was less second guessing of himself and hesitation in executing his ideas.

Boro only really decided to show up for the last ten minutes of the game or so and on another night we would have already been 2 or 3 up by that time.

Watford on Wednesday hopefully now the lads will be growing in confidence and under a bit less pressure with that 12 point buffer between us and 21st place

Uppa Swans.

Really good to hear that you made it the game and the lads put in a performance for you 🫶🏼

You can understand why the preparation for these games has got to be right on point because in these games if you're not perfect, you can lose two or three. So I think it's important to be very, very proud of the players today.

"We wanted to compress the space and be aggressive in the right areas because if you are passive against this team, you will get hurt.

"What these players are doing right now, I think we've got to be very, very proud of them because they're leaving everything out there on the football pitch."

And that just about sums it up for me. 7points from 9 available. No bullshit. Players putting in a proper shift. Pressing all over the pitch. Just guts, determination and no pissing about well done boys bach.

What was the atmosphere like today... and are the fans trickling back?
I thought the atmosphere was so much better today. Still quite a lot of empty seats around me and looking around the stadium. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, a few heart in mouth moments but we defended well. VIPs getting better now the style has been changed and he certainly puts a lot of miles in closing down the opposition defence, his link up play and his hold up play is so much better. Franco is a superb player and linking with Lewis O’Brien is becoming so influential in the middle of the park. All in all the whole team seem to be more together and they all played well today. Making Ben captain has had a huge effect on his play and decision making and he’s a far superior influence on the players and referee than Grimes ever was.
