Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 3 QPR 0 | The EFL Championship

You are absolutely off your chunk.

We didn't trouble the top 6 the last three seasons, and the squad has weakened year on year over that time. There is zero evidence this group is capable of anything better than mid table.

Cloud cuckoo land.
That's the sad truth. We've seen today that they CAN do it, but it's the inconsistency that's killing us. You never know which Swansea is going to turn up.
If we'd played like today against Hull, we'd have destroyed them.

There is a mentality problem that needs to be overcome.
We have lost 7 out of 7 against the teams who were in the promotion/ playoff positions at the time we played them.
Half of those games we had taken the lead.

Almost all of them we lost by conceding goals in the final few minutes.

And the annoying thing is we looked as good as if not better than all of them

I’ve said much the same earlier today and was about to repeat my words, but no point doing so now as you’ve put it perfectly.

It’s ALL down to the manager to manage, and he’s failing, failed massively.

If his name was Cooper or Duff he’d be run out of town, already.

It’s beyond bonkers that a manager who was already sacked for good reason isn’t already sacked, again for good reason.

Can you not see it’s a failure of management?

We have all the tools.

Good first half and an impotent second half.

Should be delighted we won 3-0 especially as I put £100 on a win at 10/11, but the second half was tepid.

Still, a win is a win and we can probably compete for the best team outside the playoffs, as we are too far behind even if we win the next two which I'm putting another £100 on us winning both.

Good, but could do better.

You've obviously got too much money 😂

We clearly took the foot off the pedal in the 2nd half, if chances presented themselves we tried to take them but we were hardly harrying and forcing errors the way we did in the 1st.

I am fine with that if it meant that players left plenty in the tank for Luton on Sunday.

Well to be fair two of the last three seasons we had ‘Russ’ in charge, running around eliminating anyone who looked like they might be a winger and pairing Grimes and Fulton in MF. Williams and his squad are a work in progress but I am having more fun watching them, flaws and all, then I did under Martin or Cooper.

As ever, you want to turn it into a Russ bashing session.

Not going to get into that I'm afraid, but the facts remain - it's 3.5 seasons of mid-table nothingness under 3 different coaches (or 4, if you want to include Sheehan's brief caretaker spell).

Sure, this incarnation might be a better watch for some, but doesn't change my core point. It's cloud cuckoo land thinking we're top 6 material. We're just not.

About 3 players in January and it might be on, we signed Britton, Moore and Borini In January and moved Dobbie to the no10 and that improved us so much, we finished in them comfortably
