Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 3 QPR 0 | The EFL Championship

First half was outstanding and is now the benchmark.
All 11 players were involved, gave everything and looked a proper team.
Liked Bianchini up front, Franco and Cullen were finding great spaces and key to everything we did well. Loved the through balls we played to Bianchini and then Vipotnik. Great response boys
And shines the light brightly on the massive latent potential.

The massive latent talent underutilized thus far by our limited of thinking, limited of ability manager with no heritage, class, pedigree and plan B.

We deserve far far better than Williams.

Top tip - you need to raise your bar, and keep up.
Learning and development - is the only way, truly.
Listening, learning and responding in an adult, thoughtful way - it's the only way, the way of the world.
Do we have to put up with your bollox til term starts ?

Eom also excellent.
Agree.
Him, Franco, Cullen and Ronald were very dynamic today and allowed us to find our way out of the Bermuda Triangle that is Grimes, Cabango and Darling.
The static midfield and wingers have been so frustrating, especially today when they show what they’re capable of.
Chuffed for LW also.

Oh FFS, so I missed THE performance after dredging through months and months of bilge. The real test is the next half a season. No more self congratulation and cigars now, or it’s bloody worthless.

Oh, and Cardiff 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bet you're on minimum wage you fucking plum

Great first half, decent second, Franco superb, Grimes, Bango, Key, Eom and of course Cullen 8 out of 10's for me also.
Nothing for me to moan about tonight...

Your Bermuda triangle way of thinking is clear evidence of your limited way of thinking. And oh so telling.

Think about the way in which Matty flips between deep and mid pivot - it's ALL about:
- Matty and the team attaining the upper hand ascendancy,
- Matty retaining ascendancy, by dynamically managing the Pivot levels up 'n down the pitch
- and the team thriving on that ascendancy, control, confidence, one-upmanship across the park

I do hope more and more of our online fans listen, learn and adapt.

It so isn't the rocket science some seem too frightened of to get their heads around (like Daps, ANH)

KISS.

First half was as good as it gets.

Second half, I’d have joined you for a beer on the sun lounger. That’s not meant to sound negative, it was simply a case of destroying them in the first half, QPR had nothing to bring to the pitch in the second half.

I've got to give you your dues. I've never witnessed someone talk their own over inflated bollocks so much in such a short period of time. I'm all for individual opinions but you seem to think you're the only one whose opinion counts. And you are so deludedly wrong.

How about proferring cogent rationale against my every post you feel is so 'deludedly wrong'? Instead of lashing out, in such an uncouth way.
Your outward arrogance belies (and deflects from) an obvious and clear weakness in your understanding of a very, very simple game. Keep up, Neatho.

2 goals and an assist now for Liam. I cant remember a player who has so consistently defied his limitations.
He's improved significantly since he's played for Wales his goals for Wales and probably Bellamy's words of encouragement along with showing confidence in him as helped him no end AM definitely suits him as well. IMO of course.

Not making any direct comparisons, but I can't deny that echoes of the WBA 1st half under Laudrup wafted in and out of my mind at various parts during the first half, so yeah; can't offer any words of comfort for missing it, but the full game should be up on YouTube later so you can crack one open and watch it knowing we won't f*ck it all up in the 2nd half.

And that's the thing.

We have a richly assembled squad (top quartile spend$ last term, our RECORD SPEND in this league). Top 6 latency.

The limiting factor has to be the rookie manager with no heritage, no pedigree, no class, no contacts - with a penchant for doing a Martin, in lots of ways counter-cultural to the Swanseaway and our fans.
It’s not a richly assembled squad at all, not compared to what we’ve lost year after year. Plus a lot of last season’s spend is irrelevant, as we shipped out 2 of our 3 most expensive signings (Yates and Kukharevych). We’re a mid-table team, playing mid-table football, managed by a mid-table manager. We’ll have good days like today and bad days like the previous two. There’s not enough quality to seriously threaten promotion whoever the manager is imo.

We spent a few bob. We just didn’t spend it as well as we could have.
