Risk and reward gentlemen- we need a very high level of base fitness to successfully implement the Sheehan plan. That intensity of training causes casualties.
If we get to the opening day reasonably intact we will see the benefits as the season plays out.

I was speaking to the head of FA performance the other day and he said the same thing

We haven’t got much choice. The squad’s still paper thin. Burgess is a good addition, Widell looks good on YouTube clips and Galbraith was good in L1 so can hopefully step up. The front line is desperately short of any quality still.

Why not start the game with Arthur Parker playing next to Burgess? Surley would help Parker to play with an experienced partner at the back

Doesnt help with Tymon if he is playing centre half, he needs to be getting game time at left back.

Sounds to me like how we are year after year, passing for passing sake, which ironically wasn’t the case when Sheehan was in temporary charge.

We know the way we played last season under Sheehan wasn’t boring most of the the time (I still think we could have played that Derby home game on the front foot). We just have to hope that the rest of the transfer market will be good for us.

Sounded as if they were sitting back a bit so it might be a bit slow and boring, especially if we have a patchwork team out.

Even allowing for pre-season in Spain then Cheltenham and now today we have hardly created any chances on goal.
