VP on 25 Goals. Golden Boot. And in Team of the Season. I wouldn't take anything less than 20M.

If I was the club, and hear me out. Sell him to reinvest and get the depth. I would love him to stay but VP might never hit these figures again. In a dream world we could keep him and go for top 6. But we need the money based on what came out and we need to invest.

My guess is the price is already set in the new contract with a minimum release clause. It was definitely a deal to suit all parties. Plus I don’t think we’re in a position financially to not sell unfortunately.

Exactly.
The price is already cast in stone in his new contract.

If let's say its 15M is set and I'm no expert lol. That allows VP and his agents to negotiate as a pre-determined fee, typically embedded in a player's contract, allows another club to bypass negotiation and speak to the player directly if they meet that amount. If triggered, the selling club is contractually obliged to accept the offer, putting the player in control of whether to move or stay, then he is much stronger position now to get at least 20M. Either way,

I hope he doesn’t go, but if he does we need to look at how Coventry used the Gyokeres money. Renewing his contract was some pleasing diligence from the board.

No way Vip stays, club have to balance the books his stock is high so no better time to optimise thesale

It's like a plaster. I would rather it pulled off very early in the transfer window and not dragged out. If we have to sell get the money, new sponsor which will help money and get some players and it's gonna help the club alot for next financial year.

I hope we can have some kind of sell-on. There could be a bigger move for VP further down the line and we need to make sure we benefit.

If he does go and god willing he wont then only a proven goalscorer will do, no taking a chance on a maybe or could be.
There’s no such thing unfortunately. Every transfer is a risk. And there’s no guarantee even if we got a top goal scorer from somewhere else. Even if we kept Vipotnik there’s nothing to stop him struggling to hit a barn door next year.

VP is definitely the kind of striker who in a team that provides him consistent service will bang in plenty of goals

He isn't quite the complete package that Mitrovic was when he completely bullied the Championship that one season but he has also had a fraction of the service that Mitrovic had

He’s a 30+ goal striker in an automatics quality team.
