Or Jazz FM. 👌

Or 6 music

Although I really don’t like Lauren Laverne at breakfast. Which surprised me as I liked her in the morning.
Miss Radcliffe and Maconie on weekdays though, but deemed too old and make.

But I detest Steve Wright with a vengeance. Perhaps beaten only by The Smiths ‘Panic’ which is allegedly based on his playing Wham out of a report on Chernobyl

I used to listen to Radio 2, but the last few years it’s started to really annoy me. On a week day the only half decent ones are Ken Bruce and Jeremy Vine in the week, but the latter is the same old pattern every day and a sequence of 2 people arguing. Steve Wright, Zoe Ball (Chris Evans before her) get on my nerves.
Johnny Walker does a good show on a Sunday and that’s it.

It says a lot about Radio 2 when I’d rather have Radio Wales on!

Get Planet Rock on mun. 🤘🏻
What he said, the only decent station out there, R2 sh ite except for pop master of course, what is R1? last time I listened to it it was the golden hour with Bates and the hairyone DLT with his wind ups

Only Ken Bruce and then the station gets changed, usually to Greatest Hits. I can't even listen at 11.30 to that prat Vine, never mind a full show.
Union Jack was ok before they had presenters.

I used to listen to some daytime radio and watched TOTP until June 1993 when I had a lightbulb moment during a TOTP episode that told me that, as a musician myself, I really ought to be seeking out current music of far greater substance outside of the mainstream and I've been doing that ever since and loving every moment of it. Really missing the live gigs atm. Still listen to Pop Master but not too good on anything post June 1993! :D

Radio 1 was good when I was younger, but like most people I outgrew it. Similar story for Radio 2. Darren mentioned Planet Rock. It's my default station when I'm in the car (which is hardly ever nowadays), but the adverts drive me to distraction.

If it's available on podcast then presumably it's ad-free? Absolute Radio seems to be.

Really struggle to find any radio station which holds my attention span now .

Heart , Nation Radio , Absolute are plagued by commercials .

Radio 2 has some presenters nowadays who endlessly chatter on talking nonsense , come back Alex Lester please .

Chris Needs on Radio Wales was the last show I made an effort to listen to , he was great , alas passed on now .
Mal Pope played some tidy music music too on his early morning show .

He looks different than I imagined. He started off doing day shows but now he's back on nights.
