I’m still getting splinters on the fence on this, but it is blatantly better to evaluate ‘show us what you can do’ vs ‘tell us what you will do’. It’s why I couldn’t believe Guidolin was replaced at all (unless by Brodge) and especially by a hapless idiot.

Sheehan has shown us, and so I would be perfectly happy with his appointment.

Some of us aspirational achievers don't settle for 'perfectly happy'.

We need and deserve sexy leading edge.

Martin and his Willy nowhere near had the vision, they were utterly clueless. They actually both said as much - they did it their way, by all accounts.

'That's all we need' - smacks of second best. Like, 'Just give him the job'.

I very much doubt our super ambitious, super driven new owners don't do 'That's all we need / Just give him the job' defeatist, unaspiring.

Some of our fans need to raise the bar, look for the art of the possible, strive for more, strive for what we once were............

You know all this how??, they're cutting costs everywhere you're coming out with all these words, without any substance behind the words, reading what you write is like a stript Farage would compose plenty of whataboutery without substance, with all due respect.

So like l said you got nothing to say except rehashing your previous comments.
The way you talk you’d swear the Swans were like Barcelona in their pomp wiping the floor with all others.
Yes we had some great moments and were a joy to watch, lm very doubtful of us achieving what we did in the years after 2011, l just don’t see it coming in the next 5yrs or 10 yrs even.
Cutting costs will make those things less likely, we not gonna hold on to Darling and moreso O’Brien and maybe one of two others.

Was so good to see the .com full for a non-Cardiff game, and genuinely a positive atmosphere (in fairness even the junior jacks thing was well done).

I haven't been pro Sheehan until recent games, but he's becoming hard to turn down. Yes it depends on who else we could get (which was where my reluctance to back him long term came from) and ambition is critical...but if it's down to him or Hellberg then I'd go for Sheehan.

It's a big risk appointing someone with no experience of British football, even if he has had success in other leagues. The pace, aggression, expectations and even media pressure here is something else.

I'm not saying the Sheehan is the perfect candidate, but the recent results are more than impressive when you consider them against the rest of our season.

Whilst I am not fully on the Sheehan train, you have to admit not giving him the job would be another huge roll of the dice and gamble.

We do tend to pick up points towards the end of the season (just look at our last 3/4 years) and there is a huge case to be made that the team and assets have been substantially miss-managed that anyone would have got a tune out of them if they weren't stuck in their ways of inverted fullbacks etc etc.

Unless we can get a proven, ambitious manager then I see no reason why we shouldn't give him the job full time BUT on a rolling 1 year contract so we do not get potentially stung.

There’s been a few suggestions that we give him a 1 year rolling contract - this seems to assume he wouldn’t be offended by a low ball offer…his stock has never been so high, and I’m sure his agent is fielding a number of offers from other clubs.

After the work he has put in if we came along and showed only a half-hearted offer I think he’d be well within his rights to tell us where to go.

2 year minimum deal in my view and the sooner it’s on the table the better.

Yes the parallels are definitely there. I remember that we put in a great performance against Liverpool which we all appreciated and then he was sacked. To be replaced with someone who had managed Le Havre in the French League and little else of importance. The rest is history.
Edit: Not that I’m suggesting that the current manager of Hammarby would be the next Bobbly but it’s still a leap of faith. The Swedish League is not that strong. I’ll stick.
