• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

What is clear is that our owners aren't stupid. Just quietly assessing things, no knee jerk reaction too early. Give it to the last International break before Xmas at least, see if performance/results are on the up. Clear they weren't. Swift action then. No silly vote of confidence. We can criticize I suppose for them appointing Sheehan in the first place, but most everyone supported the appointment ...on balance he deserved a go. But hasn't worked out unfortunately - impossible to ignore the poor style of football, and that it's the worst start since relegation from the Premier League. A Potter style appointment now for me.

It’s the right decision ok butt, if that’s being happy then yes, not good enough and out of his depth as results have proven, no other manager that I can remember ( 50 yrs of support) would have gotten this ridiculous amount of sympathy.
Wish him well as I would most human beings….whats your attachment to him then??
No attachment at all butty, I'm not sure what your bumping your gums about to be honest.

Russell Martin got away with hell of a lot more from certain corners.

In terms of attachment to Sheehan, he’s a likeable bloke who got us playing decent stuff.

People pleased he’s gone means the team isn’t doing well, surely we want the manager to succeed not revel in his sacking.

I was hoping we’d avoid any grand standing from those who wanted him gone.

Apparently it seems not to the case.
I didn't take it as grandstanding just an honest misunderstanding, but if it is that, then don't worry. I've kept all the receipts, for when this wonderful world beating squad still end up in 12th under the new coach 😉

Still waiting for your Sheehan justification.. we all knew you were wrong anyway
