Sheffield United

Probably would have been sacked by most clubs before now, it looks unlikely that they will avoid relegation but you never know and is perhaps a lesson for some clubs that you don’t have to sack the manager.

Are they doing an us under Carvahal where the FA cup spurred us on or a Leicester under Pearson that is the question. They're full of hope now, but it can bleedin kill you, as we know to our cost.

3 wins from last 5. Achieved the first goal of not being worse than Derby. Still a long way from safety, but will their recent form have clubs like Newcastle looking over their shoulder?

They managed to beat a team that just put 9 past Southampton. Anything is possible.

Not a scooby. They need to get at least another 24/25 points from 16 games. Can anyone realistically see them winning 8 more? Or even 6/7 with few draws?

Current bottom three look done and dusted. Doubt any will trouble 30 points. Miracle worker’ fat allardyce will be bottom, where he belongs.

i wonder if fat sam will bail out mid march when relegation is almost done and then try to claim his record is still intact.

I was thinking that before I got to your post re 30 points. I reckon safety could be lower than that this year, maybe 27, 28 or 29 points. There’s 8 points between Fulham and Burnley, that’s a fair gap to make up.

Chris Wilder has left
On BBC Football asking where it all went wrong for Wilder
Signing an average striker for £20 million and playing him regularly ( I think Oli is great but not Premier League standard sorry ) and signing an outstanding young player in Brewster and then ruining his confidence may have been contributing factors this season
Brewster would be first on any decent manager's teamsheet, especially one that is struggling for goals

Change of coach, same mentality.
Brewster and Oli on the bench not used.
Result- a 5-0 loss
If they had Aguero and Jesus, they would probably both be on the bench at Sheff Utd

Fulham getting a few points, just a win from overtaking Newcastle now.

Another reason for us to go up this year, Newcastle coming down will no doubt make it tougher next year. Ashley doesn't spend to push Newcastle on in the Premier League but he also doesn't panic sell when they go down, ending up with a very strong Championship team.

Yes, Parker and Bruce are making me look a right muppet. Thanks for reminding me 🤣

I still think Fulham won’t make it, but I really hope they do and the barcodes or Potter find themselves falling.

I think the next game is Brighton v Newcastle. Soon anyway.

Swansea City v Leeds United
