Seems now that you can recover from it and still test positive.

Russia vaccine triggers an immune response? What does the resident professor make of this? Still too small a group to be sure?

It’s safe (although limited testing) and immunogenic. That’s all we can say. No protection data yet. A response does not always equal protection

The headline is a bit misleading. The suggestion is you will test positive whilst the virus is no longer infectious and declining in viability. RNA is too unstable to be detected by the test weeks later in a meaningful way. The idea that there are some false positives as there is no cut off for detection makes more sense- and a re-test rather than assumption of positivity is sensible.
Although capacity is already a problem

I'm a bit concerned at this suggestion that people can fully recover.

My wife having lost her sense of taste has done wonders for my sex life.

That's always been the case, and it's why patients on discharge are not generally tested as it's pointless

I think you have already been told this at least one hundred times but I'll have another go myself. The volume of testing being conducted today is multiple times more than what is was in recent months. Go and have a look at the Twitter account of @UKCovid19Stats as they share and present the big picture.
It has increased certainly, but not as much as that.Testing can only be done if those come forward. I often wonder how ppl who can't drive can get tested as the testing sites are few and far between

I live in a part of London that has had an upturn in cases. So a walk-in centre was set up for pedestrians. I went there on the bus, queued for 30 minutes, took swabs on my tonsils and nose, handed the samples in, was given the phone number to get my results, and lost it on the bus home. Simple!

Of course the Russians have a great track record immunising people.
