Sorry for delay in responding Dicko...
The Black Horse recently reopened under new management and seems OK; I haven't tried the Farmers Arms since the newcomers took over, but I've heard some negative views about the place....The Fountain food is very nice, but at a price.....and there is the Bird in Hand up in The Fforest and The Wheat Sheaf opposite Happy Shopper
.
Rasoi Indian Kitchen is nice, on the site of the old Glamorgan Arms, between the Bont and Pontlliw, but it is only open on a Sunday afternoon.
Yep, absolutely. It was introduced to try and save lives and life changing injuries (with the added benefit of easing pressure on the NHS, although that’s far less important than stopping someone being killed of course).Or just pay attention to your speed, it could save a pedestrians life.
I have a feeling that the most recent stats are going to show an increase as there have been quite a few accidents and serious incidents just in Swansea. In fact, two in Mumbles in the last couple of months.Yep, absolutely. It’s early days, but as an update to this thread the signs are encouraging with deaths and serious injuries dropping by nearly a quarter in the first 3 months after the new limit was introduced- https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cydvr2rnm4ro.
That’s got to be worth slowing down for (not that you can average 20mph in Swansea very often with all the traffic lights and cameras, so it’s all a bit moot anyway).
We probably need a couple of years of data before drawing any firm conclusions, but encouraging nonetheless. To be lower than during the Covid lockdown years seems impressive on the face of it.I have a feeling that the most recent stats are going to show an increase as there have been quite a few accidents and serious incidents just in Swansea. Some poor sod passed away in Pennard this week when his car went off the road. Keep safe people.
