My understanding after reading this, is that subs Bennett, Hamstring and Apostrophe weren’t used.

Is that right?

I'm amazed at how many think we should be automatically substituting at half time any players booked in the first half.

I don't think that, but Naughton had been struggling with their game plan of playing balls over the top all night and he was always looking likely to get into further trouble. As for Fulton we all know that he has more than a bit of that Scottish aggression in him, there were a few sliding tackles he made after being booked that had me with ants in my pants.

I expect he will set up the same against Rotherham on the weekend and try and Nick it like we’ve done so many times this season.

It’s difficult because we know we can play it on the deck and I wish we weren’t as reactive. Teams should be adapting to us, not the other way around.

I would say that is exactly what happens though. Teams adapt to us. I suppose then we adapt our style to what they do, but I think we have to as we can't impose our way of playing unless we are allowed to. We always try to play exactly the same way, and if a team stops us, or finds a way through our midfield, we get tonight, or we get Derby, or QPR, or Luton or Coventry, even Rotherham and Barnsley twice negated us into humping it. It's just sometimes we find a way to score goals and they don't and we win or draw and dog it out. We did it again tonight, in effect. If they don't find a way to stop us and give us space where we want it, like Watford, Cardiff, Wycombe then we look good. Will it be enough to sustain us...who knows. Hope so.

I suppose we all complained when Buck and Roberto never deviated from their one and only Plan A. It's bizarre though, one week we batter Forest 5-1, the next we are fighting the Alamo.

Yes. Apostrophe when used is often used incorrectly. Not by you though.

Cooper has done well, the team are second in the league and he deserves great credit for that, but there is nothing wrong with discussing possible flaws in the teams style of play and attitude, Brentford was worrying , it raises questions about the team being capable to step up and give that bit extra in crucial home games , the attitude has to be right or it will be another season ending in play off failure, they have to get that automatic spot, they are capable of getting it, Cooper must convince them they can
