Labour MPs are now openly talking about getting rid of Sir Kier, the lead balloon of the Labour Party.
Opinions? My preference would be to get Andy Burnham to stand at the next by-election to get him elected as an MP, if he would do it. He would be a shoo-in for party leader.

Starmer has no political beliefs or a political antenna.

Up until the election that was his biggest strength, because it allowed him to shapeshift all the way to being PM, but it is now his biggest weakness because it is being exposed pretty much on a weekly basis. His judgement is poor, he tackles issues he doesn't need to whilst procrastinating on the issues that matter.

I think it is going to come to a head in the next 6-12 months where he will have to go, if the polls remain as they currently are.

Who comes in after him, it is no exaggeration to say they have the long-term future of this country in their hands. If they are bold, if they are prepared to shut out all the noise from the Mail, Express, Telegraph and GB News etc, and they do things to try and materially improve people's lives, then they have a chance of seeing off Farage and turning the country around. If they don't, if they're just another Starmer clone, a 'tinker round the edges' politician, then this country will end up with Farage as PM and we'll all be flushed down the shitter.

Burnham is about the only one I think who might be capable, but whether he'd want to get involved with that kind of pressure, I'm not sure.

I thought he'd be great Labour leader especially after Corbyn, my view changed after he'd been in the chair for 6 weeks two months and his real potential came to the fore his performances in the House of Commons changed my mind, he was a total wet lettuce in his replies to the Tories and now as a PM he's totally out of his depth, we thought it couldn't get any worse after the Tories, well that's gone well, can't wait to see the back of him and Reeves and the utter tool that is Milliband.

I actually consider his performances in the HoC to be amongst one of his few strengths. When Johnson was there blustering he used to make mincemeat of him with simple facts, knowing that Johnson would leave him open goals all the time. His career as a lawyer came to the fore there.

What I find most amusing (and ironic) about Starmer's setup is when Corbyn was there he was accused of running a cult, living in an echo chamber etc. Yet to get to where he is now, Starmer had his backroom staff poring over prospective electoral candidate social media posts going back decades, finding anything they could to deselect them if their face didn't fit ie had anything resembling left-wing views. As blinkered and as dogmatic Corbyn was, he never went to those lengths to cleanse his own party.

Anyway, he'll be gone soon. I just hope they pick well because they'll only get one shot at salvaging the situation they're currently in.

Burham is a good shout Pego. Marvin Rees plus Lisa Nandy too. The dream would be Birgitte Nyborg Christensen (Sidse Babett Knudsen) 👀

I think the Labour MP’s who are bumping their gums off need to get their head down and get on with the job of improving the country.
They need to take a look at the problems we’re facing and do something about it. They can whinge about this that and the other, but they’ve spent years under Corbyn and others in the wildness and if they carry on they’ll be there again pretty soon.

That's comical.

The whole reason they're "bumping their gums off" as you put it, is because they can see from the polls what's coming in 2029 if Starmer and his cronies remain in situ.

The bloke doesn't listen to his backbenchers. He talks to them hardly at all. The only people he bothers with are the people in his inner circle.

How can MPs change anything, how can they address problems, when they're not even allowed a voice within their own party?
