We’re in a for a wildly entertaining year I think.

Caught some of Trump’s press conference earlier today. Few highlights:

Not ruling out taking Greenland and the Panama Canal by military force if other means fail.

Plans to force Canada to become a US state through economic coercion.

Wants to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.


What a time to be alive in America.

Both my kids are US Citizens. Sometimes I think they are in the safest and best place to be sheilded from the consequences of Global unrest. .The US are self sufficient in terms of energy etc. The Western world needs the US alot more than they need us. America can look after itself militarily. It doesnt need NATO. If Putin goes banzai in the Baltic, at least they are geographically distant. That becomes academic if we mention the N word.
And then The Donald opens his mouth.
Quite a day for surprising statements.

I read that as ‘the state of us’, as we’ve got a few problems of our own. Britain is right royally f****d. No government can undo the damage of 2008-2024. Crash, austerity, Brexshit, Covid has killed us. Next the same lunatics, chancers, grifters and imbeciles behind Brexshit egged on by twats like Musk will open the door for a far right takeover.

Sham is right, at least the US can feed, power and defend itself, irrespective of orange fuckwittery. Many that voted for him will face a cold reality though.

The many times I thought about trying to convince my children that it would be a good idea for them to move over here,(because thats what I wanted to happen) I never got to the point where I said anything, because no one in their right minds would move from there to here.
