• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Blimey!

Mister Angry and all that stuff.

As a 67 year old too many celebrities dying relatively early recently for comfort.

Bloody awful news, loved his shows.
Another gem gone.
RIP Steve.

Quite a shock this is, I think Steve is only 1 wk older than me.
Really hits home how fragile our time on this earth is.
RIP Steve

More bloody tragic news.
Loved his afternoon show back in the day. Always made me smile.
RIP Wrighty. Will be sadly missed.

Seen it on BBC Online, hell of a shock, remember him being on when I was an apprentice and working on building sites, great presenter.

RIP Steve Wright, BBC Radio has lost a Legend!

I hardly saw the light of day yesterday so only now catching up on news (also missed all footy, thankfully).

The Steve Wright afternoon show is one of those things which takes me right back to my teens. It was very often the first noise I heard when stepping through the front door after school. It also reminds me of the dentist as they always had it on in the background.

Feeling a bit glum at hearing this news.

One after another recently.
Mr Mad was my favorite. You're raving mad pal...
The outro when his show ended, from "Wichita Lineman", is etched into my memory. RIP

RIP Steve, again big part of my growing up early 80's, bad week so far with some awful losses

Like many others was a big part of my time growing up in the 80s

RIP Steve
