I see terminology getting mixed up a lot on here, so for anyone who may be confused and otherwise interested - IPTV relates to the streaming of live television (BBC, ITV, Sky Sports etc.) with a few seconds/minutes delay of the live broadcast. IPTV is what you need to watch the Swans live - confirm with the provider that they have access to iFollow
If you want TV Series and Films 'on demand' (ala Netflix style) then you'll need a VoD subscription. Shows are usually added to VoD within 24 hours of them being broadcast live
Providers will offer one, the other, or both. I have both from the same provider (who has asked that we don't give his details out). You're best sourcing a provider via word of mouth - those advertising on social media are asking to be shut down. Generally, if a service is shut down partway through your subscription then you'll lose your money. That's the risk you take
For reference, I paid £75 for a years subscription to both IPTV and VoD
Also, you may or may not require a VPN subscription too (VPNs encrypt your internet connection and disguise your online identity and location). I paid £15 for a years subscription, but that was on offer. Your provider will tell you if you need one
You also need to install your providers app - most IPTV/VoD apps can be installed on Windows or Android devices. Personally I have the app set up on my Android phone and tablet - I then cast the stream from my phone/tablet to my TV via Chromecast. Amazon Fire stick or Fire box are generally considered the most user friendly approach though
Another thing you need to consider is your internet connection. If you plan on streaming in 4K, Google tells me you'll need at least a 25mb/s connection with no download limit
I haven't missed a Swans game for two years - if it's on Sky Sports or BT Sport, I'll stream it through that with all the bells and whistles. If not, then I'll watch through iFollow - sometimes you'll get Swans commentary with it, sometimes the opposition commentary (like yesterday) and sometimes you'll have no commentary at all. Generally replays and analysis is more limited than what you except from a BT or Sky broadcast
