Summer Transfer Window

Offer 750k with some add ons. They're bricking it that they're going to be stuck with him after the window closes
We called their bluff, its not a coincidence that this came out right after we moved on to other targets with paper talk of bids for Jusef

Wycombe now in damage control, better to get something than nothing

More clubs will take a punt on that lower valuation.. just gets more messy for us.
Even if a bidding war happens it would only really be about the structure of the installments and add ons rather than an increase in the bid price itself. Their dicking about has essentially cost them 1.5m quid after the only club to register concrete interest with a big close to their valuation called their bluff and moved on to other targets.

Brighton midfielder inbound

Now thats a fucking signing!

God knows who they play with Franco, wideeel and Galbraith mind
Based on last Saturday's game, Widell will be the one making way. I'd like to see Franco and this new boy in a solid 2 at the base, doing the hard work, with Galbraith allowed a bit further forward.

if we’re going to be successful we’re gonna need more than just the starting 11. We really lack any depth… so need as strong a squad as possible to rotate.

I don’t understand people who ask where players will fit in the side… what happens after 60 mins when one of Franco, Galbraith, Widell need subbing?

Wasn’t Widell that good on Saturday?

I’d been hearing good things about him

He didn't do it for me tbh. Missed an absolute sitter, and Galbraith and Franco stood out far more in terms of their contributions to the team. I'm not drawing any firm conclusions on him obviously because it's way too early for that, but if it's a question of which one of those three makes way for this Brighton boy, then it's got to be him I think. For now at least.

This, totally.

We have a serviceable first XI as things stand, but we have to have at least 18 solid outfield players we can rely on if we want to push into the playoffs. At the moment we don't have anywhere near that.

And so it shouldn't, Widell's best positions are either CM as a number 8 or CAM as a number 10
Ideally i'd like to see how a three of Galbraih, Franco and Widell do together. It would have been nice if we would have tested that out in pre-seaso, but Sheehan decided against it for some reason.
