Oli Cooper is an easy player to like, and there's still a part of me that quite likes having him as an option to bring on late in games when we need someone to chase and harry opposing defences to keep them honest.

For an attacking midfielder though as you noted his numbers simply aren't good enough. He just doesn't have the level of technical/creative ability to open those same defences up.
Im not a stats guy, but it didn't suprise me in relation to what was posted. Let's get real, if he wasn't Welsh, a local lad and the poor recruitement over the years then he would of gone a while ago. He showed glimpses and has energy and draws fouls, but doesn't bring much more. If true him and Fulton goes I think we are seeing a club who is serious about what we do.

I don't remember any Pratley hate. He was likened to a crab regularly and would always run the ball to corner flags instead of being more direct but he had hell of an engine and most fans were disappointed he left for Bolton

Yeah, the crab thing is what I was referring to. By the time he left he was loved, obvs, but there was a fair amount of negativity for a long time. Kind of Fulton in reverse.

It depends on if he’s happy to be a backup and play a bit part role in the season. You always need players like that in a squad. You can’t have 25 first team quality players or you’d end up with 14 really unhappy ones.

Getting Back To Transfers.

My Strongest Side: When Transfer Window Shuts

Vig

Key - Cabango - Burgess - Tymon

Galbraith - Franco - Malick

Inoussa - New Striker - Eom

Subs - Fisher - Cullen - Bobby Wales - S Parker - Widdel - Ronald - Casey - Santos - Marko

I would still say add left back and possible winger to that. I've excluded few players like Fulton etc for obvious reasons.
