Summer Transfer Window

I think there was an option to have played Cullen there but never happened under Sheehan.
He might chance it come next season but I think he will still go with a holder and 2 all action players(Widell and Franco).
My out there crazy Summer Transfer Predictions:

Darling and or Cullen will go to Wrexham or Birmingham.

For me Cullen has had his time. Yes he is our top scorer and I do like him, but I feel he brings more questions than answers to the team.

14 goals and 5 assists in all competitions this season is a pretty decent tally, especially as he's been wasted half the time as a 9. If we can't set the team up to play to his strengths then we should let him go if we can get at least 3 million for him. Preferably 4.

Alot of money. If he goes max 2 Million. He has found it difficult since day 0 with us in relation to where he plays

Darling stays. My 2p worth. Anyone want to give me some good odds on that

He is worth 3 to 5m definitely
Piroe, sainz, Brownhill 19, 18 and 18 goals
Josh Sargent 15
Then Liam is in a bunch of players around the 12 mark.
Given he hasnt been played to his strenghts he could score more next season for someone so yeah he is worth way more than 2m

I could envision a transfer where we only get about 2m for him, but with performance related addons based on goals scored (say 50k per goal scored up to a maximum of 40 goals) which would take it a transfer in the realm of realistically 3-4m

Add in a sell on clause of 20% on anything over the initial fee and if a club gets him and he does well and they sell him on at a good profit then we could see another 2-3m on top of that

In regards to numbers 3 and 4 then I would say we would only need one new full back, I would then promote Arthur Parker to the first team squad where he can serve as understudy. He is also able to play both left and right back

In regards to point 5 - Number 10 is where Widell is largely anticipated to play and I suspect Eom will also offer competition there

Agree on point 6

Point 7 is where it is expected that Bobby Wales will offer competition

Point 8 it depends on how much we value Fisher as a back up keeper to Vigs

Point 9 it seems is currently being addressed, we have Parker to offer competition on the right and Inoussa if we are paying 5m for him as rumoured will surely be aimed to be played on the left
Lissah is ahead of Arthur Parker in the pecking order for first team

Had a look at Championship transfers this season and very few were between Championship clubs. Those that were, were to clubs that got windfalls from big sales, notably Hull, who sold Greaves and Philogene for £27 million and bought 3 EFL players for over £4 million each, including a player from Wigan. So the lack of a market for Championship players could scupper any deals for Cullen. If we can't get at least £3 million for Cullen we'd be better off hanging on to him. We just need to play to his strengths.

I suppose Wrexham may be in for him, given that they need a second striker and Mullin has struggled this season.

Having announced Inoussa, I'd be surprised if we prioritised any more forwards, especially with Wales coming in too.

Would leave us with far too many players to accommodate next season without outgoings, as we'd have:

Inoussa, Eom, Ronald, Ginnelly, Bianchini (Govea/Parker) for the wings

Vip, Cullen, Wales, Yates, Kukha, for #9

Minimum of two strikers outgoing I imagine, maybe one winger in if Ginelly goes?

I don't get the desire to offload Cullen, he scores a decent amount of goals and can cover striker and attacking mid. The only reason to move him on imo is if he is unhappy playing second fiddle and agitates for a move.
If his surname was Cullerino, there wouldn’t be such the clamour to get shot. His record for last season is decent enough playing in a hamstrung side.

Ginnerly will most likely go. Yates and Mykola will go. Bianchini could be sold? Cullen could be sold? We need a decent striker and hope VP can step up. Next objective really is defense and then midfield with Allen gone.

A striker who presses relentlessly, can score goals AND hold the ball up well to bring others into the game?

That is practically the complete striker, such a player would not come cheap no matter how you look at it
