Summer Transfer Window

If true Valencia are not as big an issue in trying to get LOB back. They want a loan to buy which makes no sense as he is in last year of his contract.

“The Mestalla club is interested in signing him on loan with an option to buy, as the left-footed midfielder fits into the Valencia manager’s plans for next season."

Ben Davies didn't look that excited post match tonight.. maybe he is on his way out

I’ve been saying for awhile I think maybe he could be coming back, seems strange he hasn’t had his extension with Spurs.

BD would be a perfect replacement for Kyle Naughton in the "experienced pro who can cover a couple of positions" role.
Would love him back and he would arguably be near the top CB's in the league, all comes down to money money money though

His interview at the end of the match sounded like he was going he was saying I’ve given Spurs 11 years and their his club then he name dropped Swans and said we’re his club as well.

That was a nice touch from Ben Davies in his interview to me tiin us.
That for me is a guy who has Swansea in his blood and couldn't say what he did about Spurs without mentioning his first/real love.

If (and its a big if) Spurs don't extend his contract then for sure we could do far worse than bringing someone like Davies back to the club, he can play at left back and both centre half positions and has a phenomenal amount of experience

People can, fairly, be a bit cold on us re-signing players based on our recent history of doing it, but Davies would be perfect for us imo. A two year deal, and he'd be 34 by the end of it; in a position we're looking to strengthen, would almost certainly be in the top 1-2% of players in the league, and a homegrown talent who would genuinely want to be here.

It's a far-cry from Bony.

Noticed 2 decent players who have become free agents.

Dani de Wit-Good solid Dutch attacking midfielder who has just been released by Bochum in Germany. The 2023/24 he had a terrific season with AZ and formerly of Ajax and still only 27.

Tommy St Jago-25yr old centre half with good experience in the Eredivisie. He is primarily a centre half but can cover RB and occasionally LB.

Not as much pressure on defenders than strikers and Davies is certainly someone I could see Leeds or similar picking up in the prem.
Ben is 33 in April so even a 3yr contract would so it end just as he turns 35. Never been the quickest so we would have to worry on that side.

No brainer for me if it can be done plus we need experience.
