Summer Transfer Window

The Bianchini rumour mill was started by Swansea Independent in order to expose Wales Online an article by them was posted last week. Not saying he still won't go out though,
There is a couple of players who might be at a crossroads with us.

Bianchini
Oli Cooper
Sam Parker

Along with the players coming back on loan and Ginnelly and Tjoe a On.

The first 3 listed,if a decent bid came in then I think we might be tempted.

Seems a little early to include Sam Parker in that category. A full season loan somewhere I could see us looking for, but full transfer?

I think we would take something for Bianchini and Cooper. Sam Parker, I see as more of a loan out as he is seen as an investment. Also TJoe and Ginnerly needs to go. Yates will go. Mykola will go.

Ronald plays pretty much every game and the full 90 so Parker's game time is likely to limited. At this stage of his career he needs game time in the adult game.
I always saw him as the perfect Key backup/challenger - that’s where he played most of his youth football…? Not sure why we decided to try and convert him into an out and out winger…

Good point and question. Even as backup to Key I doubt he'd get much game time. A loan is best for all parties.

He certainly was primarily a RB but for some reason the club don't seem to see him as a full back presently.
I would be happy seeing him as Key's competition at RB.

In my mind there’s a big difference between Parker at 18 and Cooper at 25. One is developing and the other is either now good enough or not. For what it’s worth I think he’s fine but has gone backwards to be honest. I’m not sure he’s a championship level player. If he stays I hope he proves me wrong as it’s great to see home grown players but he was disappointing last season.

Over the years we’ve had a few players that we’ve all thought of as still developing kids when they’re in their mid twenties. We seem to bring them through quite late.

To be fair it's tricky when you're only getting a few minutes off the bench. I think he's Championship standard, but possibly lower Championship. It may be best for him to leave. We might get a modest fee for him.

With Oli Cooper, I don't know what is exactly position really is.
Seemed to be used more as winger when coming off the bench towards the end of this season, doesn't seem to be a holding midfielder and doesn't seem to set the world alight as an AMC.

As Lisa says, hopefully proves us wrong and we see him have a great season for us in this upcoming campaign.

Yes, that’s very true. Although it tends to suggest nothing is being shown in training to force more minutes.

I agree with your conclusion.

Cooper seems best suited to coming off the bench for one of the attacking players when we're defending a lead/point and we're lacking energy up front. He's a good nuisance player, can harass and challenge well for the ball and is as good as Darling at getting cheap free-kicks to break-up play and waste time when needed. On his day he can also drive into the box and cause problems for the opposition, but to me that's secondary to his nuisance value as a sub late in games.

If that role for us is enough to get him into Wales squads, he might be happy to carry on like that for at least another year - or to whenever his contract ends.
