Summer Transfer Window

In my mind there’s a big difference between Parker at 18 and Cooper at 25. One is developing and the other is either now good enough or not. For what it’s worth I think he’s fine but has gone backwards to be honest. I’m not sure he’s a championship level player. If he stays I hope he proves me wrong as it’s great to see home grown players but he was disappointing last season.

Over the years we’ve had a few players that we’ve all thought of as still developing kids when they’re in their mid twenties. We seem to bring them through quite late.
Johnathan Coates was always a promising youngster - even in his 30's!! :ROFLMAO:

I maybe in a minority here but I think there is a better player in Bianchini than we saw last season , I’d expect him to stay next season although very much a squad player rather than a hugely regular starter
It was interesting that we saw him down the middle under Williams and then the few appearances he made with Sheehan were on the wing. I’d be happy for him to be back up to Ronald or Inoussa.

I am hoping that his early season performances on the wing are more indicative of his preferred style of play before he had a chance to absorb Williams's "teachings"

He did well on the right flank where he was good at getting half a yard on his man and then bending a ball low and fast between the centre halves and the goalkeeper, the kind of ball that any striker with pace and strength would gobble up

With regards to having few minutes in the latter stages and being set as a first team squad member more and less relies on the day to day coaching staff at the club to make that decision. Both Bianchini and Ollie Cooper are too old to slip back into the U21's and need to be offloaded on loan asap.

Easier said than done, unfortunately. Especially Bianchini, he's going to be on a fair wedge.

With all respect to a player's wages or experience, if he is deemed to be in being outside the inclusion zone of a first team squad number then thoughts are certainly towards an exit and being sent out on loan or even a permanent transfer.

With all respect any club wanting to loan either player has to pick up a fair lump of the salary or pay a transfer fee for Bianchini or Cooper.
That’s not going to happen any time soon unfortunately.

Bianchini had the right instincts. Made a lot of intelligent runs but the pass never came. I think in a team that moves the ball a hell of a lot quicker than we mostly did last season he'd be able to contribute a lot more.

Don't know if Sheehan is all that fussed though. He didn't get much of a look in from him as the season progressed.

I like many others wanted Cooper to step up and yes he has been injured and got himself into the Wales set up at 25, he really should be stepping up now. What he does bring us is energy and draws fouls. Other than that, I don't know what else he brings. This is no pop at him but he would be a good league 1 player. Move him on I say.

If Bianchini could finish he would be one of the first on the team sheet. I lost count how many straight forward chances he blew last season especially in the air.

In his defence he was a winger being employed as a striker by a manager who played a central defensive midfielder as a winger, coached by a van driver who had managed to convince everyone else that he was a manager.

He’s shown power as well as pace. As good as Eom is id like to see Bianchini have a run at a few oppo full backs

What has stood out for me with Bianchini was that run off the defenders shoulder and cool finish away at Oxford, coupled with players telling him and putting him in places to stand as if he was a fan who won a comp to play for the first team.

He isn't a touchline hugging winger and clearly prefers to play in field a bit more. I see him more as an inside forward or as a second striker playing off someone else.

I just don't see him fitting into a team that plays with out and out wingers. He isn't an out and out winger(that I have seen of yet) and certainly can't play as the lone striker or at 10.

This one is put down as a data signing rather than one that was finished off with actual eyes on the player a couple of times and seeing if it fits in with the team.
