Both will be able to offer him more than we can pay unfortunately
Sadly, this sounds like we need to admit defeat

Signed last year but so far down the pecking order, a loan is probably on cards next season at very least, and been told we are trying to get him on a loan, as for LOB if the guy is correct we have already agreed a deal and are just offloading players surplus to requirement till July 1st, but again rumours are rumours and its just what I've been told, its very possible its BS but was right on other things sostamenic cost forest £5m in 2024 on a 5 year deal and has been on coventry radar before they signed grimes
how likely is it that forest would loan stamenic out after he just played 18 games for olympiacos on loan from forest?
more likely to sell LOB aren't they?
Have to agree, he's bang average and if we get offered what we paid for him I would accept and re-invest elsewhere in the squad as we have options in the wide positions. There is no way Ronald is worth 5m quid or euros. 5 million lira perhaps.
I'm not saying let's give him away but let's be realistic here. He's not a top Championship player, he's not even a good one, he's merely ok and nothing more.
Offensively Ronald is pretty average, but defensively he's the best winger in the league (I won't bore you with the details, so unless you want to check it out for yourselves you'll have to take my word for it). So overall he's above average for the Championship. £5 million might be pushing it, but he's easily worth £3 million. For that amount we'd have to be very confident of our recruitment to replace him for a lesser outlay. There is no way Ronald is worth 5m quid or euros. 5 million lira perhaps.

Our upturn under Sheehan was primarily down to our defensive improvement. Ronald plays an important role in our intense mid press. Lose that at our peril.Have to agree, he's bang average and if we get offered what we paid for him I would accept and re-invest elsewhere in the squad as we have options in the wide positions.
I can definitely believe the fact that Forest would be willing to let go of both, their squad is bloated still and neither of those two get into the match day squad. A few have mentioned waiting till the 1st July, be interesting to see if that’s the case.Signed last year but so far down the pecking order, a loan is probably on cards next season at very least, and been told we are trying to get him on a loan, as for LOB if the guy is correct we have already agreed a deal and are just offloading players surplus to requirement till July 1st, but again rumours are rumours and its just what I've been told, its very possible its BS but was right on other things so![]()
The thing that needs to be remembered is that LoB has a lot of say with regards to where he ends up. If he wants to join us then he can demand that or simply sit out the rest of his contract if Forest don't play ball. The challenge will be if other clubs are willing to offer him a better package. Would he forego a higher salary? I love his defensive work Wyn, but as a winger his bread and butter should be what he does in the final third - that's what merely makes him only ok in my eyes, I can't lift him any higher than that.
I think any fee between £1-2m and we'd have done really well there.

To be fair Williams' game plan was very much focussed on getting the balls out to the wings, which gave Ronald plenty of opportunities. I expect a more varied approach under Sheehan, so Ronald may get fewer opportunities.Well we paid 1.5m for him a year and half ago
He may be better suited to play as a full back rather than a winger considering his defensive prowess compared to his offensive ones last season. Saying that though I feel it would be unfair to judge anyone on last season under Williams and I will judge him properly based on what he does under this new look side assembled to play the Sheehan way.
Williams's game plan also involved recycling the ball perpetually and never risking losing the ball. The difference between Ronald's willingness to attack full backs before and after Williams left is night and day, you don't just recover that instinct and composure instantly after 13 months of it being coached out of youTo be fair Williams' game plan was very much focussed on getting the balls out to the wings, which gave Ronald plenty of opportunities. Ronald might come into his own as a wingback, but I don't see us playing that way under Sheehan.
