Summer Transfer Window

Where/how do all the midfielders fit though?!
They don’t all fit… but should be battling it out every week for who’s starting.

Leeds went up with the likes of Gnonto and James coming off the bench.

We’ll be able to rotate our squad and bring players on who can massively impact a game… rather than giving up our advantage taking Franco off and bringing on Fulton

We've got utility in many of the players that we've brought in. Wales can play up top or drift in from wide. Galbraith can play RB or CM. Widell can play anywhere through the middle and apparently out wide. Inoussa can also play across the front three.

Add that to many of us thinking that Eom can play at #10 too and it gives us options. Not just off the bench but for game management purposes too.

Agreed, we have superb options with these lads in the middle of the park and Galbraith at RB.

I think a good striker might be a step too far unless we shift Yates and Fulton.

Four top quality midfielders for two positions is ideal for me

LOB, Franco, Widell, Galbraith would mean realistically two starting and two who can come off the bench and provide fresh legs after 60-70 minutes

Franco LOB and Gilbraith for the two CM positions
Widell and EOM for CAM
Inoussa and Ginnelly for LW
Ronald and Congreve for RW

Got further strength in depth outside of the matchday 18 too with Govea who can play on the wing, Wales can also play both wings and you got Fulton who can offer squad cover for CM

We would likely be in a position where if we wanted to bring in a new striker we need to move on at least one if not two of our forward options but otherwise as a squad on paper its the strongest team we have had in half a decade

I've commented on the striker situation before. It's not a huge priority for me, although I do expect to see Yates out and one in before the end of the window.

As much as I would hate to see him go but if LOB comes in and Franco moves on.....not a issue given what we have available.

And I'm not saying Franco is going 🙈

You can NEVER have too much quality in midfield. If our plan is high energy fast pressing all action football then we will need to rotate - and there will be minutes for all with a lot of these guys also positionally flexible.
The biggest win would be if Wales is championship standard - as that would immediately give us an additional and different striking option. I am really keen to see what he can bring to the table.

It's gathering pace for sure! If LOB is coming back then a loan left back and that's us done.

Fisher and Portsmouth is being mentioned aswell, if this happens then a replacement would be needed as back up.
Not that people repeating the same rumour makes it true, but I’ve not seen anyone say it on Twitter apart from Magic Michu off here.

As long as Wales isn't stinking out the place in training, my hope is that he is given enough game time for us to see what we've got. Whittaker and Joseph were similar signings who were barely given a sniff.

I've no issue of having LOB adding to what we have in midfield. A bit of depth and rotation during a game keeps our intensity going.

Am I missing something? Out of curiosity, I thought Wrexham pretty much on verge of signing him? Also Franco isn't going. Not sure why other posters think it's 1 in 1 out.

Wrexham held talks this week with LOB but couldn't agree personal terms, well at least so far. Southampton also interested so maybe not quite a done deal for us in theory

Wrexham are full of shit so far!

Ryan Hardie and Danny Ward.

Throwing names about for publicity......they been linked from Jamie Vardy to Danny Ings to the Jolly Green Giant and ended up with Hardie.
