I'm not sure our midfield needs any more strength in depth

Widell

Thats already four players for two central midfield places and thats without Cooper (who I still don't see what he brings to the team except lots of running) and Fulton (who doesn't even bring that)

Add in some promising youth products who we should be looking to give first team exposure and maybe some minutes when games are comfortable

Widell is not a central midfielder he is an attacking midfielder/winger

To be fair, most sites have him down as a Central Midfielder primarily who can play out left.

Stamenic, from what I’ve seen is the type of 6 profile we don’t have at the moment. Tall, combative but can play the ball just as well as any of our other midfielders. Think he completes the midfield if he comes in. Would allow us to play Galbraith in a more advanced role and maybe even utilise Yalcouyé out wide.

I don’t expect all 4 but the Striker and a Stamenic would be a fantastic end to the window for me.

Widell is most certainly not a winger
Look at his average position played for AaB over the previous two seasons, he spent all of those games playing either 6, 8 or 10

In the 23/24 season he DID play 8 out of 28 league games on the wing
In the 24/25 season he played 2 out of 27 league games on the wing
