Makes little sense. And somehow managed to make it look like we have funding for transfers when we don't.

So if I've read it right it's had the exact opposite effect that it intended to and would have been better off if it hadn't been said?

To be fair it probably doesn’t matter much as every club will assume we factor a big transfer fee. Everyone does it apart from the big clubs.

Isn't the trust model of maximum term lengths somewhat of a fatal floor? It just encourages a race to the bottom, doesn't it? When replacement board members are often lesser qualified than those they're replacing?

There is no term length limit in terms of the Trust Board itself. There are limits on officer positions though.

The previous supporter director resigned not due to any maximum term length requirement. I’m not sure the trust ever lost an SD due to the max term length. There have only been five SDs in the trust’s history I think. Dineen, Cooze, McDonald, Sinett and now Davies.
