• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

To be consistent with the other signings that have been made so far, while all this utterly speculative b*llucks is going on, hopefully the recruitment team are going to announce one or two totally unexpected, jaw dropping signings in the near future that catch us all out.

I expect the next news to be announcements of a couple of departures. logically in these financial times we need to know our available budget in order to conclude our business.
We also don't want players that are plainly persona non grata hanging around the place like shining fish!

I will be delighted if we get this done. Wonder what it will mean for Vipotnik now that we have Bobby Wales available as a backup.
I can see McBurnie and Vipotnik as a duo with a lot of interchangeable options behind. Bobby Wales will come in for either if either tires to add extra energy on the press.

I’m not really keen on him coming back but if he does that’s how I see things operating.

We have signed some very strange players if we are planning on two up front.

Well in that case why did we sign Wales and why are we allegedly looking at McBurnie?

It would indicate that we are trying to offload Vipotnik but I can see that as being the case.

It’s possible we could play Widdell/Galbraith alongside Franco and a winger either side but unlikely I’d agree. I’d much rather see a loan striker and us buying a good holding MF . A loan centre half utility defender for LB cover would be good.

As much as I'd like us to find a 22 yo goal machine that we'd picked up for song from non league, that isn't gonna happen. Also on our budget we're not in the market for that sort of quality.
If we can get him cheap enough, burnie is the best thing we can do.
He's experienced loves the club , and is quite good.
And that sort of influence brings the new ones on quicker
Price and other options the factors

I don’t think we can get him cheaply though otherwise he’d be here already
