• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Swansea City: Has Andy Coleman given Luke Williams three more games?

I'd say Ollie Cooper is the only really noticeable injury. The team against Cardiff was arguably our strongest starting XI.
The issue is that its a team & squad desperately low on quality, confidence & numbers and to make things worse, LW doesn't know how to get the best out of the players he has.
Changing Cullen from his 10 role to up top, we neither had the physical presence of Vipotnik or the pace of Bianchini to run in behind, nullifying any hint of a threat we had going forward.
Ginnelly as well. But yeah, everyone else apart from those two for the starting 11 is available aren't they? I'd say we've been pretty lucky with injuries. We haven't got much in the way of cover.

Cooper's borderline good enough anyway - I think we need better, but would concede that he's an important part of the squad that we have.

Cullen is playing the best football of his career as number ten for Wales.
Is that since Bellendamy came in? What's different with Wales - they get forward a lot quicker now don't they? Maybe that's what he needs - more support around him (I don't watch much international football).

Asking him to play against two brick shit houses without any support isn't the sharpest thing our manager could do.

Then again our manager doesn't appear to the sharpest tool in the tool box.

The best football of Cullen's career is relative though. He had a decent purple patch before Christmas but has flattered to deceive generally.

He's still someone that ultimately we need to improve on at #10, and has never looked good enough as a central striker.

Williams out on gardening leave

Sheehan and co till end of the season

New manager in summer

January window don’t waste potential funds for summer, instead get a few decent loans, bring some of the youngsters doing well through and maybe just sign Joe Low

Should be enough to stay in the league
Exactly what I've been saying (although I did mention Allen as a possibility too, but I'm happy with Sheehan).
I think with the squad we've got (even though it's thin and not one able to compete at the higher end) we'll comfortably finish midtable-ish. Especially with Sheehan hopefully/probably playing everyone in the correct positions etc etc.
Is it wrong to hope we lose all 3 if this is correct by the way ? Asking for a friend 😁

Whether his future is dependent on these 3 games, they are pivotal.
We don't just need improvement in performance but more importantly we need points.
So far this year we have had a cup defeat, in the league a draw and two defeats.
These 3 games are going to be very difficult to say the least.
Tonight should be a defeat, we've had mixed results at Norwich.Coventry haven't beaten us since 81., Is this their year?

We need results, or our results in games this year will seriously have us looking over our shoulders.
Coventry have not beaten us at home since 1950 to make it more "is this their year"

So is it two more defeats this month and starting off next month's the same?
It's a tough run of games that couldn't have come at a worse time. Of the next 6 games & 18 points available, I realistically see us getting 3, maybe 4 at the most.

If Coleman sacked him this afternoon, I really don't think Williams would care; his general demeanor this past six weeks suggests he has made peace with his fate. Basically, he's waiting for a severance package.

He's a man completely void of any ideas.

Everyone knows how to set up against us. We're lucky we've got as many points on the board as we have.

Style is so rinse and repeat, get it the wingers hit a shit cross into the box, start again, Grimes playing CB, Key in CM.

I think Grimes actually looked better under Duff in a more advanced role.
