• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Sheehan till the end of the season. We’ll win a few games then in May it’ll be “he deserves a chance on a permanent basis following our upturn in form”

Bookmark.
I’m bumping this so if it doesn’t happen everyone can point out I was wrong. Enjoy.

Him and Duff have been interviewed by the mighty MK Dons.
I just saw. Jesus. I mean at least he isn't aiming higher. But makes you think what the hell the voices in his head is telling him. At Xmas it was telling him he could go to West Brom job, now it's telling him to drop down a division or 2. Maybe listen to his second voice is best. Duff as well.

Fair play 😂😂😂. Did call it. 😂😂
In fairness on paper the three games against Burnley, Leeds and Sunderland were the toughest games left from his remaining tenure for the season. He came away with 4 points from 9

He has also won almost all the rest barring the Preston draw and the Watford loss.

It wouldn't be inconceivable for him to ride that momentum and win all four remaining games. At what point do people have to swallow their pride and say that he would have earned a shot at the job in an official capacity?

W vs Blackburn (H) - 3-0
D vs Preston (A) - 0-0
W vs Middlesbrough (H) - 1-0
L vs Watford (A) - 0-1
L vs Burnley (H) - 0-2
D vs Leeds (A) - 2-2
W vs Derby (H) - 1-0
W vs Plymouth (H) - 3-0
W vs Sunderland (A) - 1-0

Played 9, won 5, drawn 2, lost 2
17 out of 27 points
11 goals scored
5 goals conceded
6 clean sheets

His four games left: Hull (H), QPR (A), Millwall (A), Oxford (H)
Even if he just picks up two more wins and loses the other two that would give him 23 out of 39 points which is more than enough for playoff form

I know football is alot about confidence and all of that, but I actually hope he is showing more that he and his back room staff are tactically doing a fab job, rather than riding the wave of momentum and players at present time liking their favourite food. Think we are saying same thing. But I just fear that it could unravel at some point. Again it's all a gamble and do we throw the dice on someone who knows the club and will do something or risk a new manager who could tear it all up, and that's a gamble if works or not

Sheehan's strengths right now is that he knows the squad better than any external candidate possibly could.
Not only working with them, but also from a non frontline perspective when he was just an assistant coach
Also we don't need to pay compo to anyone or a huge salary to tempt them over

True. He has watched over last 2 seasons and has built up an understanding while learning his own coaching. If he hasn't convinced those in charge, then get some wins and maybe not get beaten now till end of season and they have to give it to him. Unless they have a superstar of a manager lined up.
