• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I am reading some superb stuff on twitter, it seems that people on twitter know what is in this guy's contract 🤣
Now they might be right but it would surely fall down on guess work and a stab in the dark.
Surely asking that question from the outset is the first thing you do - why on earth is it now a pronlem last minute?

What I don’t get especially with a football brain like Modric is why he (I think) hasn’t even suggested the club to get proper football people in running the club? Surely he knows this isn’t right having a commercial guy as chairman and an ex forum troll running things
Why would Modric care. He still plays consistently he doesnt have time to actually run a football club. Hes just there to call potential players thats basically it.

I guess you just be happy with the way the recruitment process has gone?
Usual overreaction, loads were throwing pelters that we were going for Hellberg. Now he's gone elsewhere it's "Oh we missed out!". Now Matos is the same, we allegedly don't want him, now if we don't get him, we've messed up! It's very early days, calm down.

Definitely no to Mowbray for me
I will go blue in the face talking people down from Carrick, too. Three seasons at Middlesbrough (two and a half of which had Latte Lath, all had Hackney, two Azaz), and he got the play-offs once. They finished something like 4 points above us last season, and we were stinking

I'd still look at the British managers whose teams are currently 1 and 2 in league one.

Surely this fiasco will now kick them into gear and make them rethink their decision not to have a dof.

Always strange to me that they get rid of Montague but then chase after his main managerial target.

Too many egos in the club who need to be brought down a peg.

So far its nothing out of the ordinary for a championship club.
Last seasons clubs took on average 2.5 weeks to appoint a new manager after sacking their previous one mid season

We identified our preferred candidate immediately
We were then gazumped by another club who have a bigger budget and are in a more attractive league position
We identified our second preferred candidate soon after
We have tried to negotiate installments/reduction in the 1m euro buyout clause but club refused to budge
We announce that O'Dea will take charge of the side for Saturday

That's our current position
I see little wrong with that to be fair

Rodgers was at best average at Watford and stank the place out at Reading. The entire Swans fan base collectively shrugged its shoulders and said meh on his appointment. It’s like buying a lottery ticket.

Any time I invest a few million in to a football club, I tend to care about my investment and potential returns. If I was ITK and could see the team struggling, I would definitely chip in with ideas, regardless of my workload.
