Norwich close to appointing Phillips Clement.

I am starting to think that Liam Manning might be the route we will go down.

To play devils advocate here alot of managers have done very well with no managerial "experience" Pep, Arteta, McKenna, Carrick, Rosenoir, Chris Davies just to name a few off the top of my head. Ofcourse there's loads which have gone the other way.

You don't have to be a number one to be "experienced" in management. Sometimes being in the right environment and learning from a variety of managers as a number 2 over a decent amount of time is very good experience in itself.

Carrick and McKenna benefited especially from that at Man Utd.
the common denominator with all those head coaches is that they all had a sizeable chest of cash to secure top quality loans or experienced footballers. Apart from the occasional PL recruit the Swans market lies in European second division leagues

It was just part of a post

I read it as easier to get to than from Swansea.
Plenty of flights from Newcastle to Sweden.

I had a brief look at this and apparently there isn't.. whether you go from Cardiff, Bristol or Newcastle, you're changing in Amsterdam.

He'd probably be better off going direct from Heathrow to Stockholm and getting a driver from Swansea to Heathrow.

So ease of travel is probably Swansea! Which does seem bizarre admittedly

🤙

Well you live and learn.

Football and education 😀👏

Apparently transport links has become the deciding factor for a prospective manager's decision whether to come here.
If fucking off back to Sweden as often as possible is the crucial factor for Hellberg he isn't wanted here anyway.
In that case we need to appoint Rangel as soon as possible. He lives in the Bryn in Derwen Fawr and it's a 25 minute drive even on match day.

If we can find someone who lives in the Hafod even better.

Matos a risk, and one I don’t think we needed to take, but comes with pedigree. Happy to give him the chance with the CV he has.

This is the first real managerial appointment these owners have made because Sheehan was already here.

Let’s hope it pays off!

It’s underwhelming and strikes me as a cheap option, maybe we aren’t that attractive as a club as people think. But he will get my full backing and support and I hope it pays off

I have no idea about who this Matos is and what he is about.
I do however have more faith in our board than I have had for a very long time.
Listened to the podcast with Gorringe and he came across very well to me. That coupled with the summer transfer window, and everything else that has gone on since they came in, I feel we are in safe hands.

They had to give the gig to Sheehan and if they choose this guy, I will support him until or if he turns out shit.

I’m hoping that the board know more about football than fans that post, and this is not a dig at our fans. We have a right to be concerned as we have pretty much been getting fucked over since Dug Sharp.

Bristol City v Swansea City
