• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

The fvcking wide ball didn't help.

Nope, you don't expect that from an experienced pro like Payne, 2 bad balls in his last 5 cost the Fire the game without a doubt. even the most experienced sports are not infallible though, put this one down to experience and move on!

Replacements likely to be Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry.

Massive loss, losing those two :(

Presumably they’ve got international commitments?

It’s beginning to get quite amusing that they rammed the proper cricket into six weeks in June and July to keep August free for this nonsense amd it hasn’t stopped pissing down yet.

I can see you now up there in the Long room at Lords with your Blue Blazer and ECB tie on, scoffing a Vol au with a glass of champers and saying to the chaps, Oh what a dam fine session of bat and ball that was, what, what

Egg and HP dribbling down his blazer, I can see it now, you can take the boy out of Clase but you can't take the Clase out of the boy

Spencer Johnson, ello ello ello

get him straight in the squad for the ashes down under. Do some damage with that speed against batters who have never fancied it on the hard pitches against hostile bowling.

Easy work.

Easy work.

He looks an outstanding bowler, but he's almost 28 and has a career blighted by injuries.

He's only ever played ...

4 x first class matches.

6 x List A matches.

11 x T20 matches.

I couldn't see Australia taking a chance on him for an Ashes Series.
